I'm up for that! Let me see if I can persuade "Fearless Leader" into that! That would involve coordination....I think I still have those skills.
Ohh, maybe a BBQ food fest!
We have chatted about that too. There needs to be a coordinated effort to get 5 people there that are competent, you know, older people, that can follow directions, listen to others and stay off their phones.
You will be tapped for it!
Come load batteries in the M60, I am in need of help when...
The next item we need to pay some attention to is something that we can use to pick a load of 8800 lbs....hopefully not, but, it would be nice to have it up and operating.
IIRC, I will give the data plates a gander and some pictures, is an M62 wrecker. I know it ran when parked, was ran out of...
OK, here is another update on the HU1-M. Over the past month or so, it has been VERY hot and humid here. A coat was put down on itbut the heat and humidity weren't good for painting. The parts that were painted off the air frame came out good. Some of the volunteers gave the not so good paint a...
FOUND IT!!!! Well, not me, but another volunteer at the Museum. He was a tanker, M60s then M1 and A1.
307th Attack Helicopter Battalion! Now that I see the patch, I can see the wings on the artwork on the nose!
Pretty much. It can be dine in the jaws of a vice. There are some other pieces inside the cartridge, a wavy spacer and seal. Drop the shaft/gear in the hole, turn it slightly while tap tapping on the shaft, install the other components in the order removed then put the threaded connector on.
A crack in the line would leak pressure and vent out of the tank vent. IIRC, he stated that fuel got to the LP but nuttin' out. COULD have a POS in the inlet of the pump. I have seen that before. A piece of debris in the fitting that is replaced when the pump is changed, unseen by the guy that...
Doesn't matter how "momentary" it was. The system isn't designed for 100 psi.
There are two check valves in the lift pump, one in the inlet, the other in the outlet, they are identical, just installed opposite each other. You can remove the threaded outlet port, and look at the valve to see...
Steel and aluminum bend when they strike things, yes, sometimes the radiator core gets damaged. Plastic/nylon, once compromised, come apart. On the other hand, I have seen trucks come in with cracked/broken composite fans that when the customer was notified, they just said, yeah, it's been like...
I wouldn't say no chance, seen plenty of them crack then fail horribly. I had one explode on the dyno, took out the radiator, upper and lower hoses, shroud and a mess of wiring. Had the hood have been closed, pieces parts woulda put holes in the fiberglass hood. Dam thing took out my coffee cup...
No most of that stuff has gone away because he, the owner of the hangar and airport that was there, got eminent domain by the state of California when they did the freeway expansion for Highway 58. It could be at his new hanger over in boron I think. I have not been over that far to check it out
