Need help with Brakes leaking down and needing bleeding constantly.

Start farthest away when bleeding. MC, Air pack, Rt RR, lt RR, rt INT, lt INT, pax FT, dr FT. Are you adding fluid, is it empty/low before you re bleed? Does your truck still have the fording stuff attached? A failed air pack can push brake fluid out of the blow by tube if all that stuff is...

Yeah, the rotors are pretty messed up. I was thinking the same on the strobe and other lights, but, nobody there in the dark. Did you see the tail rotor? It is in the shop. Came out good!

I went to the Museum today. ANNND, being the dip shiat I am, saw the manufactured item and forgot to snap a pic. It looks fine for a display piece. Nobody will know it ain't real. The cowls are painted....again, no pics. 1970's army aircraft green, not the dark CARC green.

M5 One of the volunteers, an ex-tanker, made a bbl out of wood. Haven't seen it yet, probably tomorrow when I go pick up a trailer.

Dunno. There is a place out this way that has been known to have once fired stuff. I do know someone that can load inert 40mm. Things are in the works....

Also did some work with the engine cowls. The co pilot cowl had the pivot frame/hinge wired up. Had no idea why until I messed with the pilot side cowl. The rod thet the cowl slides outward on and pivots up into the lock position was missing. I made a new rod. Since we have nothing to glue...

Also found something VERY cool! This aircraft, in it's last airworthy condition, was part of the Los Alamitos, CANG. I got to read, hold the logs for this. Last flight was logged by the pilot as a ferry to Fort Ord for decommissioning. I believe that is where the M% gun site was removed as well...

Gave it a bath on Tuesday prepping for paint. It, the paint on it is chalked and faded pretty bad. Some of the volunteer kids did some scrubbing on the tail, what a difference between the color it is to what the scrubbing reveals to what it SHOULD be! Now I know what the dark stripes on the tail...

You ain't kidding! Two center mount points and a V-band clamp at the inlet. Unless you consider the plumbing and harnesses as mounting points!

How do the hockey pucks center themselves in the cross member holes? What is the durometer rating on them? What length sleeve did you install into them to get the correct pressure into the mounts to isolate the vibrations the engine creates from the chassis and keep things from walking around...

So who has bumped the power on a 6CTA cummins

Valve guides can go away and put a divot in the liner, but, it isn't in the ring travel and can be run safely. If this is your issue, and you aren't working the snot out of it/running it hard daily, I can be repaired with just a head repair. I did a hay squeezer once or twice that had a wallowed...

We were/are planning a trip....but I told you about that. I'll keep you up to speed. Yeah, it is fun to put hands on things other than the "normal" thing. This is way cool to see how it is made. VERY lightweight, nothing that I am used to. I could do aircraft! Jacobs' job MUST be...

Worked on the tail rotor today. WOW, that thing is big too! Close to 10 feet span, not real heavy either. Surprisingly, things came apart quickly and easily. The nut, bearing, dust cover, splined drive thingie, tail rotor nut and the rotor assembly all left their spot with no effort. The...

It's an oldie, I think early 60's. Might have started life as a C model. It has a small cargo area, small doors. I'll see if I can find some tags today. Remember I stated that this sustained some airframe damage and was repaired, a couple of times? One of the damage incidents was that the tail...

And here is a few pics of the 40mm cannon mount cleaned up a bit. It is a dual axis, electrically fired device. We plan to mock up a bbl and put it in. I might be able to fill the chute with some fake rounds too. Gotta go see if I can locate some once fired stuff!

After getting things cleaned up, it was time to try and finger out why the rotors wouldn't turn, they USED to. After a bit of wiggling/moving the main rotor around and watching, I saw what one of the couplers for the tail rotor was loose and would bind up when things were turned. I found the 4...
