The runflats are heavier duty, but this also comes into play when accelerating & stopping the vehicle. Rotational weight has a huge impact (more so than carried or towed weight) on the vehicle. The rotating inertia adds up quickly especially when it is 100-120lb per wheel. I'm just looking...
No ideas?
Has anyone with a M813 had issues with tire contact with 16.00's? during articulation?
I know the rear axles pivot quite a bit, but was not sure how much everything moves under load.
I do not know if there are bead locks or runflats inside. I was under the impression that most are bead lock only, but my idea could be wrong...
The wheels are steel if that means anything.
I also found some other bead locks but do not know if they are the correct ones. Does anyone know what...
Are the bead locks interchangeable for 14.00's & 16.00's on HEMTT or MRAP wheels?
I can get the bead locks from 14.00's on MRAP wheels, & would like to use them on HEMMT wheels with 16.00's.
Does anyone have the width dimensions for the Bead locks?
Putting a Deuce bed on my M818. Will additional spacing be required between the bed & frame to keep the tires from hitting the floor?
If so, what are you guys using?
You mean you don't want Blue lights & BMW Halo's on your ride? lol...
Some bright halogens would be nice, in white of course.
Do be careful of some of the high output bulbs.
My experience with the 12V varieties in my motorcycle were bad, after a few wheelies they quit working.
Figuring the...
Well it will be getting some paint soon.
Here it is all sand blasted.
Epoxy primed it today.
Now the fun begins.
Trying to decide on bed liner for the inside before paint.
I'll have something to work on over the holidays now.
Good to know... I just figured if the average car uses 1qt ever 2000mi or so, then an engine 4x the size may use it at a somewhat higher rate.
I've only put a about 200mi on mine so far & considering the difference between full & add is measured in gallons, not quarts I did not know what to expect.
What is a typical amount of oil consumption with the NHC250 engine?
Just trying to figure how many miles per quart to expect in normal usage.
Your experiences are appreciated.
Does anyone have pictures of the inside of their Deuce bed?
Interested in the Camo pattern if you painted it this way.
Looked at the bulletins, but would like to see a few color pictures.
I have a freshly sand blasted bed & getting ready to paint.
Epoxy primer will be sprayed tomorrow.
Trying...
What is the proper color for the underneath of an Deuce bed?
I have beed searching for an accurate answer with little luck. Looked through about 50 pages of posts but nothing definite that I could find.
I am trying to make it look somewhat correct. Color will be the 383 camo.
I have only seen...
Since I plan to put a bed & canopy on this truck, I want to be able to cover the whole thing. Plus keeping the sun off the tires will help to prevent any premature dry rot.
I don't want my paint to get dull...lol.
If I get a lift, I can double stack some cars & possibly make it fit in the...
Started looking for a "car" cover for my truck since it will not fit in my garage.
Has anyone found a good way to cover their vehicle to protect it from the elements?
I looked at some tarps & most are cheap junk that may not last the winter or $1000 for something quality that is big enough to...
I grew up being a mechanic before becoming an engineer.
It puts things in a whole new perspective.
Suddenly you design in enough wrench clearance around a bolt, or make sure routine maintenance items are actually serviceable.
This water pump definitely made me wonder.
