I need a battery hold down bracket and the rods that go with it. I have found several brackets but the only rods have been 10,00 per piece plus shipping. Does anyone know where I can get a kit or at least the rods in a kit? If there is a good DIY solution I'm game for that also.
Nice. I just removed 4 run-flats. Wish I did the inserts but didn't. Also, have factory high back seats and driver suspension frame coming. How do the seats work as compared to pads? Is there less room for the driver?
Check to see if you have a tire out of round. It will balance but still cause problem you are having. I found one I had on suv by watching it spin on the balance machine.
Just checked with Southern Automotive they have 98 complete alternators in stock. No rebuild kits. They could check to see if they had individual parts but I wouldn't know what to ask for. Also, they are wholesale only.

My alternator is going bad..I think. When I first purchased it would surge between green and red on gauge. I adjusted the regulator so when it wasn't surging or showing overcharge the needle sat right on the line in the green. Sometimes it would get stuck "Overcharging" and I would turn the...
I now have tried both positions. For now thru the pass window is better. I still have in the 10:00 position and am still trying to get used to it however. I'm thinking when winter comes I'll like thru windshield better when the window is zipped up. I've been all windows down and rear panel...
Okay well I've solved the problem. I guess I should do a little research before I start posting. I was going to use some alligator clips to make a ground from engine to sending unit to see if the Teflon thread was causing poor connection. I noticed the connection looked loose on sending unit...
My oil pressure gauge went to full pressure with switch turned on but engine not running and stayed at full pressure with engine running. Turn switch off goes to no pressure. It was this way when purchased and I have put about 5000 miles on truck. I ordered a new gauge and installed it. I also...
If your HMMWV feels sluggish and is reluctant to downshift try these easy adjustments.
Note: This is assuming all parts working properly when adjusted and not a trouble shooting guide.
Starting with the throttle cable it is located under hood in top center of engine bay.

Well yes of course it is. But if there was a sticky section with good ride-ups and pictures would it not be better to preserve them at the top. Yes the service manual will tell you how to do it but sometimes a picture or a video speaks a thousand words. Many stickies could simply be links to...
Like title says how about a tips and tricks section. A sub forum with valid write ups pinned to the top of forum. I was watching a video on YouTube. Guy mentioned greasing the hood stops even though new to keep from squeaking. I've been chasing that squeak for several weeks. Some small things up...
Adjusted the modulator cable. It is very easy to access thru doghouse. Can be done with 1 wrench and channell locks. Adjusted so housing moved to left in picture. Didn't hardly get my hands dirty. It made a big difference in shifting and makes truck feel robust rather than sluggish.
All in...
Okay so I've had a chance to look at this more closely and haven't had four beers. You show a picture saying fan off and zero PSI on gauge. Is that correct? Fan off should be around 100psi.
