Need opinion - Dirty/old coolant or oil/coolant mix?

Problem is, as shown in the pic, it's govplanet.. and the truck is ~2k miles away. Looks like I might have to pass on this one :(

Need opinion - Dirty/old coolant or oil/coolant mix?

To me, it looks a little too dark to be just old/dirty coolant, and the small drops seem oily.... Thoughts?

M931 off road capability with trailer?

How much can the trailer flex and still maintain connection? Maximum angle of attack? That kind of stuff. Looking through the TMs and not finding much on the 931. I'm debating on a M923 with a 14' van body in lieu of the bed, vs an M931 with something like an M129 or M146.

Was there a final correct answer on the LM/FMTVs being EMP proof ????

EMP can be an issue, but so can anything.. I used to build HERF devices when I was younger. I learned a lot. Most electronic devices I was able to zap, even microcontrolled, came back after turning it off and resetting power on the test subject. Higher amplitude emissions did permanently damage...

Was there a final correct answer on the LM/FMTVs being EMP proof ????

Not to get too far out into the weeds, since 'zombie apocalypse' and 'shtf' discussions are banned on this site, but it's not 'zombies' that people prep for when they say they're preparing for a zombie apocalypse. It's the idea that there's an ever-present enemy, that is constantly trying to...

Was there a final correct answer on the LM/FMTVs being EMP proof ????

To wit; re: Deuce - I used to live next to a farm. He had an old 1930s diesel tractor, I think it might have even been a Ford... He would ALWAYS park it at the top of the hill next to his barn when he got done... a couple times I saw him start down the hill, silent as a mouse, and about halfway...

Was there a final correct answer on the LM/FMTVs being EMP proof ????

Anything computer related or that has contacts that can arc and cause damage. Technically, probably wouldn't be a bad idea to have a spare starter and alternator, as the windings may be damaged, or diodes in the alternator toasted... although, in all reality I think it's better to have a spare...

Was there a final correct answer on the LM/FMTVs being EMP proof ????

Recent - in terms of modern day... But you neglect to mention the Carrington event..... which was sufficient enough to set telegraph wire/poles on fire and destroy a lot of equipment... and that's just basic stuff - nowhere near the extent of longwires and sensitive electronics that we have...

    SECM Manual HMMWV

Dumbest thing ever. No real strategic or tactical value for the maintenance box. Unless they want a list of parts it's supposed to carry and use that as a 'target this because they don't carry spares for that'.... I guess anything is possible.

    SECM Manual HMMWV

I used to love contacting Motorola and asking for certain part #s and being told they don't exist.... until I realized they didn't transfer me to gov't accounts support... Funny what you can find if you look in the right place, where someone else will swear they don't exist and never did. Gotta...

Interesting Response from Vermont DECLINING my HMMWV Registration

.... and this is why you start a trust, and title it in the trust. Titling it in a business name may be fraud if the sole purpose of the existence of the company is to hold property in another state. A trust doesn't have such legal restrictions, as its mere existence is proof of its own need -...

Interesting Response from Vermont DECLINING my HMMWV Registration

IIRC not much. Something stupid like different side markers to make it under width.... I know there were other differences, but none that I can remember off the top of my head that had to do with regulations.
