I Agree , i am doing a brake job on a friends shop van ... it started with the every month start ... break pedal went to the floor , didn't have any problems until straight to the floor, started pulling the wheels , found bad bearings, one installed wrong ... inside bearing on outside ..( how...
i am doing the exact same repair on a friends m35, but i ended up replacing the wheel cylinder and the outer bearing, seals .... the biggest deal will be removing the wheel from the truck ... everything else is easy ... all standard hand tools

this will turn out bad ... the reason they have left and right handed threads is so the lug nuts will not try and unscrew themselves . im not trying to preach ... but i had this happen to me ... i was helping a friend of mine repair his truck ... he had done the breaks and switched the hubs .. i...
i also recently did the single conversion and started having the same problem but have not had time to check it out .... my deuce would track as straight as an arrow but since i put on the singles .... ( bias ply tires ) it feels all over the road . all the tire pressure is correct, haven't...

can you set up a link to contact a moderator ??? most of the message boards that i belong to have multiple moderators that can be contacted in case of problems .
finding parts should be easy .. getting a windshield with glass or just the frame should be easy ... the hard part is the gasket ...:wink: all the door hardware can be gotten easy ... if you were close i would donate to your project ... i just replaced the doors on my truck and all the hardware...
i am in the process of flipping the hubs and painting my truck tan also.... cant wait for finish ... but i will have a soft top.. and ndcc tires ... not that i dont want the radials but are hard to locate out here on the west side of the u.s. without spending a ton of cash ... :evil:
i have an old style rear cover ... not canvas but before the new plastic ... is used but is in good shape ... i think the ends are there also .. the canvas top i have is in poor shape....
i think that possibly the brother in law may have "stalled" the motor and not been able to get it to restart ..... due to a starter failure .. i to am thinking mud in starter caused it to fail.
just start with the "easy" stuff first .... battery , elect connections , etc
