the cost of replacing the wire harness , re packing the bearings and a good cleaning ... new gen ... mostally small electric parts .. the worst would be cleaning the motor/ turbo ... could be a real deal ... for a small amount of labor ...but shipping would kill any desire to get one if it wasnt...
youre living in ca ... and its a high milagae unit . i would suggest straight 40wt. non detergent.
it calls out for 30wt. nd oil but if it has a bunch of miles or low oil pressure i would go with the 40 wt.
RE: Re: RE: I had an interesting night last night in my 5 to
i like the idea of chaning up the rear axel .. that was funny and insightfull ... i never would have thought of doing that ...
your truck also has the locking solnoid for the brakes .. it may be sticking ?!? i have never had that problem .. i have had the no pressure problem ..
i had a friend that had the XM858 that was complete ... except the builge pumps ... lots of fun to drive ... had the automatic trans . everything ... would redline about 45mph ... eats tires worse than anything i ever seen. would ride great on all types of terain ... worked great in the sand...
i bid on some that gl had at camp penteltion .. there were several palets of sides .. lost out ....i was thinking about using them for the trailers i have that need new side boards .
or maby making a split set of side racks .. if the price is right .
i have 2 m135 rear ends minus the pumpkins .... if you are interested in the parts ..the only problem is going to be the shipping costs.... i think that the diffs. are the same length .. so what you may need is just the hubs with the drums ??
if you want , ill get the measurements of the rear...
on the death wobble on the m135 .. first check the fluid in the front "shocks", but i would try to add some air the tires ... there should be 60 psi when driving on the hwy. and they will start to wobble if the tires are chopped or going bad .. but they should be good up to 55-60 mph ... after...
4. Is the 30 psi at idle or at road speed? 30 PSI is ok at idle, not so good at road speed. If in doubt, tee in a mechanical gauge for a second opinion. I have read of some trucks having a 60 psi gauge and a 120 psi sender, you might be in that boat.
i agree 30 at road speed is not a good...
not street legal ????? like the m35 or anything else that some of us here own ...
the only reason that they are not let out to the public, is the deal that they have with the people at hummer .. they want to get thier hundred grand for the H1 .. .and they cant get that if the gov. is dumping...
there is no reason not to leave pressure on the system ... it can't, won't hurt anything ... and yes the only reason for the quick drain valves is to make it easy to drain them .. cuz rust and crap going into you airpack or into the trailer is not good.
there is a classifieds section on the side bar or here
http://www.steelsoldiers.com/index.php?name=zClassifieds
but i think that its still down . i cant get into myself, if you cant post in there you may just want to post in here untill they fix it .
just my 2c.
