    I've joined the G749 club...

So what would the truck do...the wheels would turn opposite? The valvetrain definitely looks nasty on that engine. What color is that m756a2 painted with. That m35 of mine I would like to repaint more to the correct Vietnam era color. Looks like you got a good find with those trucks. More pics...

G749 Trucks hard to come by

https://m.youtube.com/watch?v=hhf4ynHqVqA while this probably belongs more in the cckw forum, thought I would share this video I found of assembling trucks overseas. Pretty humbling to realize what people have done to maintain freedom, even when not in active combat. Looks like basic setup to...

I also pulled my drivelines off the pumpkins, and suspended them from the chassis. I'm told you can flat them something like 5 miles before damaging tranny. I suppose you could shift the t case to neutral, but pulling the drivelines guarantees no problems in that department. Not sure why they...

It went well other than someone was tailgating me the whole way!! Cornering did well, just take everything wide, and no i did not tie the steering off. The steering will track right behind you if left unrestrained. I pulled a few jeeps with tow bars and you wanna always be sure the steering is...

I'll have to get some and give it a try. In the mean time I will try to post a video of the cylinders with the bore scope

G749 Trucks hard to come by

I will check on those shouldered bolts. I have heard good things about that company just never looked. Kroil may need to be an option. I really think this truck was well taken care of, just had moisture get into it. Tranny fluid looks great. I'll dig out a bore scope, blow that oil out of the...

G749 Trucks hard to come by

The fan shroud is cut, but the radiator is still intact there. I was a little confused as to why the shroud would be cut, with the radiator being in place behind it. Okay thanks for the clarification on how the winch is used on these.

G749 Trucks hard to come by

I am also curious about the necessity of the hub in six pic over, the one that bolts to the pulleys. It has a keyway going nowhere. I would assume that is used to connect to a front winch? If that be the case then I would assume that there is a winch radiator, and a non winch radiator? Not sure...

G749 Trucks hard to come by

Working on getting this stuck 302, unstuck. I knew buying this truck going into it that it had a stuck engine. Two owners back the guy drove it home and parked it. The kid I bought it from said it was stuck when he bought it and he tried freeing it up, that #2 had some rust. I put some seafoam...

    M211 top

Just curious as I look at these pics, what is the correct orientation for the bumper...?Some trucks have the winch 'cutout' up, and some have it down?

Seeings as how last time I went to San Diego, he knew the area better than I did, and I lived there for a bit I would say it wouldn't take much to lure him! There is a pretty good chance I will be driving down to 08s this fall, so if something is needed we could work on the logistics. I'm in...

My new M220 soon to be camper

I've never seen anything like that in any carb I've torn down. Might be worth fueling up somewhere else to see if it changes. I have had pretty good luck using seafoam in my fuel-Keeps the water out, supposedly cleans, and is a stabilizer.
