High oil pressure on a truck that has sat for a long time

Didn't even know it had one but looking at the TM it looks easy enough to remove and check. No info about cleaning it but hopefully that'll be the way to go. Looks like the "Gasket" is a simple O-ring. Thanks!

High oil pressure on a truck that has sat for a long time

Took my Deuce out for a couple laps around the neighborhood today. Over the last 5 years, this truck has probably been on the road 2-3 times for a total of 45 minutes. So it sits a lot without running. Oil pressure has always been good but today I noticed it was high, looking above 90 on my 120...

    Slowest deuce restoration ever

I found em! I had moved a few parts from my garage to my storage room. I did actually check the glove (map) box. Of course it's sitting in the bed...

    Slowest deuce restoration ever

Well, I'm ready to get going on this again. Anybody know where I left my door hinge pins?

Anybody keep their Deuce outside with an RV Cover over it?

Been thinking I'll likely try this soon, and was looking for recommendations for a good cover that is extremely durable and a good fit. Had mine in the garage for years but it only fits because the cab roof and mirrors are off. Hopefully will be putting it back together soon.

Anybody ever painted a VIC-1 system?

Oh no--Gillespie 24087 out of a HVLP gun.

Anybody ever painted a VIC-1 system?

I've never been good with a fine brush and I figured I would screw up the lettering. I tried a toothpick dipped in white paint but it was very frustrating. It would either pick up too much or too little paint. Finally tried a paint marker (.7mm found at Jo-Ann Fabrics) and it has been the best...

    Slowest deuce restoration ever

As indicated in other threads, my turbo "leak" actually turned out to be wet-stacking because the deuce has idled for hours but hasn't been out on the road in...years. aua So now it is a whistler for no particular reason and I wasted a lot of time. To rectify the wet-stacking I left it in low...

    M35a2 Wiring Harness Trouble

Tagging this thread for eventual need.

Anybody ever painted a VIC-1 system?

I'm in the (very long) process of getting my deuce back to 24087 color and of course the VIC-1 system is CARC in modern 3-color camo green color. I'd like to paint it 24087 also. Looks like the important labels are etched / stamped / recessed in whatever way so if I just tape over the...

    MY Airpack Rebuild with Photos!

The article I referenced was for the older, long airpack. I'm not aware of a rebuild kit for the newer / shorter ones, nor any instructions. I bought a NOS short one and installed it.

    MY Airpack Rebuild with Photos!

I replaced my rebuilt (long) airpack yesterday with the new (short) one. The one I had rebuilt, spilled copious amounts of brake fluid out the air side, so clearly I either did something wrong in my rebuild, or got a faulty part. It's baffling me, because I followed 2 sets of instructions (the...

    Door reassembly

You mean the little clips? It's tough to see which way they are rotated but either feel around with your hand or use a mirror. Once you know which way they are facing it's easy to pop them off with a screwdriver or really just finger pressure in the right direction.
