Okay I did not say you were switching to Dextron. If you will reread what I wrote i said several 939 owners had switched to Dextron because that is what Allison recommended for their transmission. I personally think that what you are asking about is up to you as I said it's your truck I wish you...
Cucvrus is right that starter nose looks cracked. Also check to see if the pink wire going to the IP has 12v while the key is in the run position.

Have you heard about anyone having transmission trouble with the engine oil being used? I personally wouldn't change it to anything but what the military used unless you are installing a new completely rebuilt transmission. I have heard to many guys that swapped to dexitron in their 939 trucks...
I was a electronic counter measures tech many moons ago, I would say I know a proper grounded part when it it is actually grounded to the main ground under the dash with the supplied wire and coated with anti- corrosion spay. There was a good reason they recalled a large quantity of them. By the...

Glad to hear that you are still reading this. Are you pulling roots and all over or cutting the tree using the truck to help guide?

Don't use the front winch they are to easy to break, use the rear and plenty of cable to keep you out of the path of the falling tree. The big oak might give you problems but with the ground spades down and a snatch block you should be able to pull it over. Attach as high as you can without...
Official way to mount any of those tires is all pointing the same way on the mounting machine so on the truck one side looks like it is backward but according to Michelin they are non directional.

Not fussing at you but you might get a better response if you put HMMWV questions in the HMMWV section not the Deuce section.
