If you can lay a 4 X 8 piece of plywood flat in the trailer between the wheelwells, you have a true blue 101A3 bed. Add the larger tires (4 inches wider and 4 inches higher) with no tires outside the fender flares mounted on an M116A2 chassis, you have the bigger axle and you have a 1-ton rated...
Soultion
I have one word for you, Vasoline. There was some guy in the classifieds last month that had 1500 lbs of it for sale. Seriously, have you considered a 900 series MV?
You can
One must be patient. I purchased a lot of two M101a2 trailers at Jacksonville last year for $255 for the lot. They had new tires, tarps, chains, fiberglass sides, new paint, no rust...perfect in everyway. There were over a hundred on the auction that week and probably that number the...
M101a3
I won an M101A3 bed mounted on an M116A2 one-ton trailer with combat rims, great tarp too on this same auction. $411. This is the best of all worlds for me.
Resleave the drive shaft, replace the universals and have it balanced. Good as new. I get mine done for about $200. With few exceptions, ALL drive shafts are bent; even the ones that look good. Some you will not notice until it is off and you roll it on a flat service.
The cracked case is...
The fuel pressure gage on the priming system reads "0" in normal operation. The priming switch must be off after priming. I have never used the priming system in either of my 818s even when in the mid-20s F. They both fire off the first time. Sounds as if you are loosing fuel presure after the...
Fantastic price..if you were to build a set the cable is currently $4 a foot X 40 feet. The copper lugs and rubber water seals will set you back some and THAT is before you own a couple of the pliugs and they are not cheap.
Great shopping!
i am a farmer or perhaps more accurately said, a commercial beekeeper. We have a M447 outfitted with a honey uncapping and extraction operation. We drag it to several of our larger locations. Not a heavy load. We also do other more mundane farm stuff like hauling round hay bales on our M127. The...
You might find it easier to get a 900 series tractor approved for longer hauls plus the driver work load is a slightly bit lighter. I adore my M818s but my trips are all under an hour in length and I am sure they are far lighter loads than what you are describing for your use.
Put your duce bed on a bolster trailer. You have four extra wide tires on two axles. Bolsters fresh out of remanufacture are going for about $500 at GL auctions.
I have two rigs like this. Opt for the fold down sides...
Its a whole nother bag o crap to get plates on any vehicle if that is not what it is being used for or the design of the vehicle does not fit the plates applied for - I am not a lawyer - but God fobid if anything would happen while driving - you want the right plates on it and the right...
I won an Mep-003 mounted on an M116 trailer yesterday. I filed no EUC and the PAID invoiced arrived about noon today, Friday. FRANTASTIC! The rumor has been confirmed!
One key fits almost every CUCV on the planet. Borrow one from someone and cut a new one. It you don't have friends buy one on the net from the bay place...then make your copies. One key fits all doors and interior locks. You may prefer new lock sets.
I am installing a pair in a M1028. However, I am removing the base that came with them and adding a swival base. I should finish in about weekend or so. Proper seat height is an issue to work out. I am leaving the original seat belts in case there might be an issue when getting the state...
