I wonder if you change transmission fluid back to atf(dexon) from the motor oil that comes in it. It would help the torque convertor disengage faster during a panic stop. Remember that motor oil is use due to less friction modifers. So less slip when trans shifts w/ heavy load. Plus easy of one...
Thanks for input guys I may just go with eriks ball joint ends Just do the ones that need to be done now and then slow because $$$$ adds up rest one rod at time. If anyone has or go to use them let me Or add to this thread with a follow up. I just think with quality of thing now days I take my...
Do you think I need bigger than 3" diameter ones. Don't have truck in front of me. It is still at friend's house 85 miles away. If someone has one laying around and give spec. Maybe able to figure out.
I was wondering if I could use Ballistic joints for dogbone, torque rod end. They are 3" in diameter. I figure they would be strong and last longer then rubber ones. If the 3'' diameter are not big enough I look for bigger ones. What do you think? I need to replace a couple just not trying to do...
I don't know if this would work or not. You maybe able to use tonneau cover snap button at the same level and between the rope grommets to hold top tight. But that would cause you to put a screw it the cab at each button. Or you could try some velcoor in between the grommets. That only means...
The torque convertor is bolt to the flex plate the bolts have to unbolt from the flex plate in order for the transmission to come out.DO Not go any farther until you unbolt the torque convertor from the flex plate. If you look between the flexplate and the back of the block you will see the...
I would say they are the same the miltary one look like they put guides on so it was easy to center the belt on the pulley and help it from not jumping off if the belt tensioner start to become weak. The only thing you can check is the diameter of the pulleys and make sure they are the same
I would check the tach drive on the front of the engine. Oil can leak from there. I looked at the members map. Look like ridgerunner, elkhunter, mtmudrunner are the closest to you on the map. good luck.
Check the fuel shut off solenoid on the injection pump make sure it moves the lever it is attached too. If it does not move lever no fuel condition. You can take lever off and zip tie it up and bypass the solenoid. That if they are a2.
It may be like a 350 chevy head bolts that go directly in to water jacket. MAKE SURE YOU USE A SEALANT ON THE TREADS OF THE STUDS GOING BACK IN. My 2 cents.
