I have the newer style "PURest" air dryer, and it just started leaking out the purge exhaust valve. The air compressor is to outrun the leak, and keep the tanks full, when above idle. Does anyone have experience with what causes this and how to repair it?
I tried googling, but didn't find...
I had the 3-piece Hutchinson runflats installed on my M1082 trailer, when I had the tires changed a month ago. I just realized they didn't install the rubber rings that sandwich the runflat between the rim. I'm about to drive the truck and trailer 2000 miles to Florida! Will this be a...
$2K is actually fairly inexpensive for custom or low-production-quantity welded racks. For example, you'll pay $2k for a Gobi Jeep rack, that they get to make thousands of. The commercial store-bought roof racks get to be cheaper by mass-production, and using thinner walled tubing and weaker...
Always check the surplus places and eBay too. Those kits are on eBay right now for $25. (You have to use some judgement with NOS stuff so that you don't get old rotten rubber, but for a transmission filter you should be fine.)

But he didn't. Some of that might be true when it's charging more than one battery at once, which it does at first, but then it starts charging them round robin, and just maintaining them. I just went and double checked, and mine is currently charging only battery #4, which reads 14V, and the...
Care to explain then? Not sure why you have to be such a jerk about it.
If there was only one charger, hooked to one battery, it could charge one battery only. If you had 4 chargers, each one hooked to one battery, and plugged in any one of them, it could charge one battery. Put all 4 of...
Spendy for a battery charger, yes. Spendy in terms of pretty much anything else in the military-vehicle hobby, no. They're a couple hundred bucks, and seem to really do a good job prolonging the life of the batteries (e.g. different charging cycles for desulfating, different modes for flooded...
To clarify...
Look up the part in the -24P manual diagram, and then the corresponding parts list. The description sometimes will read something meaningful (e.g. "Bolt, XXmm x YYmm".
If not, there are cross reference tables in the back of manual that list NSN. Copy the part number of the bolt...
