I’ve been looking at pictures on the site of how to safety wire the drums to hubs as it was missing when doing maintenance. I’ve never done this before and for some reason cannot grasp how it’s done in the pics/tm/ps magazine articles. Does the way I’ve done it look even remotely correct? can...
The front axle service is finally complete! Test drive was successfu! Steering response was so much nicer and the front drum temperature after a drive barely hit 100 degrees.
New inner axle seals
New inner hub seals
New spindle nuts and star washers
NOS inner axle seal retainers for bendix...
I replaced the front brake cylinder and soft line from axle to brake cylinder on the passenger side…. Turned into replacing the distribution block soft line and drivers side hard line. Inspect your soft and hard lines!! The soft line is like a wet noodle!

I’ll go ahead and install what I have. I saw the specs in the TM the other day and found it in another post on this site. Attached the picture for reference.
Looks like the upper kingpin bushing need to be replaced and a spacer was missing.

I picked up a second Deuce, a 1971 Kaiser M35A2 WO/W from a member on this site a few months ago and have been slowly making my way through it.
So far I have:
Replaced the air governor
Replaced almost all injection pump fuel lines (1 more to go)
Greased all points in the LO (with the exception...
I am working on replacing the copper fuel line on my M35A2 with the original primary fuel filter head mount.
If I figured everything correctly here if what I think I will need to replace the primary copper supply line with new rubber fuel hose:
In-tank pump outlet to filter - 3/4-18 inverted...
Would it be possible to leave an Airtex in line pump in place without power and have the OEM lift pump running fuel to the primary filter? The Airtex would be left in line as a back up and only energized if needed.
What fittings are on your fuel pump mount and the OEM primary filter?
