I bought mine for the hardtop and slant back. Also be using the rear seat bases and seats. This is going on my m1152. The ac unit I may look into installing on my m1123. The fan drive and gear box off these units go for a pretty penny so hopefully recoup some of the cost. If you like to...

Yes, remove the mechanical connection and install new sender from kit. The kits are hard to find and pop up once in a while.
