    Thanks Plowboy That's how I put it in, sure is funny the old seal fit tight on shaft, new one didn't. Old one had a metal washer with rubber seal on end, new one had fiber washer.

    Bought my water pump rebuild kit from Memphis Equip.,the seals in the kit was not like the ones in pump, kit contained a fiber washer w/ ears, collapsible seal, water pump shaft, a metal dished washer and the impeller. Put it together how I thought it would go but it is leaking again, does...

    The baffle in the tank makes it tough to get all the crud out. There are a couple of acids you can use, available at your local hardware. You can also get something from the parts house but its a lot more expensive than the acid. I put a $45 airtex in-line pump in mine and is working well but...

    Took off tank, cleaned out, sand, primed and replaced. Working on surface rust around windshield. cleaned out cab, getting ready to prime and paint.

    Thanks for the help guys, just got the windshields out. Wasn't as much rust as I thought, screws came right out with little effort, just a little surface rust on the frame and the hinge. My question, what is the best thing to use for the seal around the outside of the frame? One of my wiper...
