I have a 275 gallon home heating oil tank that's way worse. I use a cim-tek 2 micron filter that removes everything larger than a virus. I even use the fuel pumped from that in my HPFP picky rigs
its true most people never notice unless they are a money miser type who runs engines for the long haul- like my VW PD 1.9 that ate a cam a decade ago and the previous owner pretty much gave it to me due to the high repair bill totaling out the car. I stuffed a cam in it, used amsoil 3000 high...
Fathers 1966 Craftsman Tecumseh powered lightweight magnesium mower (without all the safety BS) still going strong. Always used high zinc oils and changed yearly.
VW PD TDI diesels eat cam's due to lack of zinc, with your genset firing up at 10F cold plus with these engines racing up to 1800RPM doesn't help either, if It were mine Id use Mobile one Turbo diesel truck Synthetic 5w40 with a Zinc additive.
Slight edit as I contradicted myself ;) My father flew century series jets with AL and has been a Amsoil dealer since 1978 So we use it in everything except we both still use Dyno oil in stuff that sits around with non-use as we change it every other year regardless of hours and also because...
If your talking about the Yarmo IP yard I had a great experience, drove threw the night to make it to them by closing. they stayed late, let me fire up the genset to run my air compressor and air up the tires. I pulled outside the gate and took my time hooking up. Great experience with IP at Yarmo
I was wondering about this, my 803A is in the back of my Toyota that has a plastic bed liner- is the house ground enough or should I ground the MEP as well?
I swapped the 12 pin for a 7 way trailer plug, when I had it apart I applied power to every wire and couldn't get the LED "cat eyes" to work. I will do a search for a Mil schematic :)
got my 50A wired in and put a 75% load on the 803A water heater and 2HP well pump alone did the trick. Ran the well pump 30 minutes strait while watering my lawn. Check out these crispy critters that came out, felt like it was hailing when I walked around the unit- lol. As everyone said the blue...
Yes, I did this one for $99

Your genset looks like a turn key runner! I had to start mine at the IP yard to power my compressor as the tires were flat. I changed the fluids and called it a day.
that diesel looks great, you would spot water in a second! Does anyone know how much the water sep filters the fuel or is the second cartage one that does all the filtering?
I think a lot of these units come wet stacked. my 2hp well pump kicked on while my water heater had the top element on and I had chunks of carbon all over the top of my 803a
that's one nice thing about living out here, we don't get stopped for things like this- no plates needed on single axle trailers either. I even pulled my 803A home threw cali 20mph over the limit for a thousand miles and not a problem. Your pintle does look a bit crazy though
