sounds like its got a fuel leak in one of the lines and is sucking air (loosing prime) or a bad tank pump, and is making the IP pump pull the fuel. Since it clears up after a while. OOPS, its a A3. No tank pump.
the pressure drop is normal since the IP pump is sucking the fuel on the discharge side of the Airtex pump. My deuce will run fine even without a tank pump. I ran it for 6 months that way before installing a external tank pump like yours. The water filter would be my guess as the culprit at this...
Construction company that do road work would grab that quick if you put sprayers on the front a one one the side. they run in the 30K $ for a good used one.
I put a Sherpa on mine. I only use it if I get stuck. they also have a synthetic rope option, but you still have to spool it on half ass straight or ti will tuck under and wont free wheel out next time.
I would rent a equipment trailer as stated by glcaines, if you didnt want to fab one up. But damn, there is so many bolts back there it would be easy to fab one and have it properly braced to where the tie down area is at.......all with removing bolts and replacing them with longer ones at your...
it does matter. you must find all of them unless you plan on pulling the transmission. I bought a small tip extendable magnet from Autozone to fish mine out, and yes, they do hide way under the lower gears and are time consuming to get them out. I doubt they came out with the gear oil draining...
So how many roller bearings did you find. there should be 14. I bet one fell out during the last assembly. you need the shaft and 14 new roller bearings and MAYBE the input shaft in front of it that holds the rollers.
