Green Mountain says the only difference is the end of the alternator needs to be rotated.
"Direct current generator/alternator for MEP802A, MEP803A, MEP812A, MEP813A military diesel generators. NSN: 6115-01-368-2911 (found in the MEP802A and MEP803A parts manuals), 6115-01-459-1661 (NOT found...
The end of the alternator needs to be turned around, too. The way it comes from factory (at least my spare) does not match the configuration as mounted on the 803. Directions about this alteration is on another thread that I haven't been able to find.
This is what I have for alternator...

I use my red aux fuel Jerry can adapters a lot. The black one already has a return tube welded into the top. I used these to fab my own aux fuel...

Picture 14 of 37 looks like a light connector.
Look for a gauge that is 24 volts, with a high temperature of 240F to match your sender. I like Datcon and Teleflex. Did not see too much on Ebay but this outfit has a Datcon that should work...
My 802 vibrated so bad it broke one of the Oil sender wires....twice!! I added around 4 inches to each conductor to provide more 'wiggle' and it's been good for around 40 hours. And the beede gauges are problematic if you tighten the mounting screws too tightly.
I just finished changing mine...
Post 4 shows a gasket set: https://www.steelsoldiers.com/showthread.php?178167-MEP-803a-Coolant-leak-gasket-replacement-question
For specific gaskets you'll probably need to get the Lister engine manual and find the part number. TM might have ID numbers, too.
Scrounger caught the fact that your trailer's electrical wiring has been disconnected, so no need for 12v bulbs or the mil trailer adapter until you get back home. Search the SS site and you'll find LED options, too, for lights...

I've only picked up 4 trailers but all needed air in the tires: take an air tank and/or...
Letterkenny runs them around 2 hours when they are finished working on them and record the out-the-door hours on the reset tag. Both of my generators have similar reset hours. Your reset date is September 2005.
I bought a Noco 7200 for the generator: 24 volt capable. It has worked well for me on 12 volt batteries, too. I'm guessing your motorcycle is 6 or 12 volts, so this one might work:
....Ahhhhhh, just remembered you're in Deutschland...
OK, confused. What is wrong with charging the batteries with a 24volt NOCO through the NATO Slave receptacle ? Charging both batteries at the same time. I've done this a couple times ..... a little easier than single battery charging. What am I missing?
Generator needs fresh air in, warm air out, and exhaust out. A tight building will keep hot exhaust and radiator air inside and it will get quite hot. Not a good idea to close it up tight.
Hmmmm. Looks like my old 'assumed...' affliction is back. I just took a quick look at the OTHER side of my machines.....and I have different guards on that side. My 803 is a 2003 machine reset in 2012. The 802 is a 1998 machine reset in 2008.
Good info here on failed alternator diodes: https://www.steelsoldiers.com/showthread.php?143877-MEP-802a-Low-Alternator-Voltage-Output
May help with your rebuild. MEP802A and 803A use the same alternator.
Search Ebay for "MILITARY MEP 802a 803a GENERATOR 24 VOLT 35A REPLACEMENT ALTERNATOR 8MR3005" . He's kind of proud of them, but they are available. A local alternator shop may be able to rebuild yours.
