I use 6 AWG. Here's a link to the ground rod kit that contains a short section of wire: https://www.parttarget.com/5975-00-878-3791_5975008783791_A-A-55804.html/-a9f687db-8882-411e-9198-b9a0968259ba?searchtext=008783791&searchoption=nsn&originalsearchtext=5975008783791
I think I see a rear stabilizing leg in pic 3. Pic 15 shows missing side panel bolts, so some 'work' was done inside. Good that all gauges are still installed. Hydraulic brake fluid is gone because of no cap on reservoir (thirty-eight). Both batteries are present (29,30), so that's a bonus -...
I've been happy with the AM-570 (https://www.tequipment.net/AmprobeAM-570.html) and the AMP-220 (https://www.tequipment.net/Amprobe/220/Clamp-Meters/?v=0) but they were overkill for me. I find I use the AM-510 (https://www.tequipment.net/AmprobeAM-510.asp?v=0) that I bought to carry in my...
Wet stacking is the condition that results from running a diesel engine under light load for long periods of time.
https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Wet_stacking
My 802 was showing evidence of wet stacking (a thin puddle of diesel on the top) after running at less than 30% load for 65 hours. I...
Check your machine. I think you want an 80psi gauge to match your sender:
Oil Pressure Gauge: Datcon - Oil Pressure Gauge 0-80 PSI 24V – 101574, Datcon 06340-05 (Orange color).
This one: http://www.partdeal.com/datcon-oil-pressure-gauge-0-80-psi-24v-101574.html
I've got gas heating and cooking. My 803 is too much power for my house based on recent outages. With 2 neighbors running their refrigerators and TVs off my machine through a spider box I was only pulling 30% power on the Percent Rated Current meter with 2 central AC units on in early...
Sounds like the shock was not the problem. I searched for the Dexter Free Backing Plate and came up with this: https://www.etrailer.com/Accessories-and-Parts/etrailer/AKFBBRK-35R.html . There are a bunch of different sizes at this vendor.
This video explains the concept...
Post 9 will get you to some lights. https://www.steelsoldiers.com/threads/m1102-side-marker-leds.192166/#post-2266557
The screw is the ground wire: confirm it is tight / not corroded. If the LEDs are out you'll probably need a new light fixture.

Where the fill tube attaches to the tank. Fuel seeped out of the bottom of the compartment, into the engine compartment and outside the enclosure. I caught it after a quart or so spilled. That's why I monitor Aux filling.
The Aux Pump switch hung on my 802 one time and overfilled the on board tank. I now only do Aux refills with me standing by the machine. Same machine has had 10 or more successful refills since that 1 overfill but I prefer my diesel in the tank.....and I have trust issues.
You need to check materials of construction for the tank if not made for fuel: https://www.plasticsintl.com/chemical-resistance-chart . This chart did not show it but many fuel tanks are constructed of HDPE, but you need to check compatibility for YOUR application.
Many of those drums have...
I suspect that depends on the state. In VA the local DMV office would not accept the SF-97 form I received because it was for transfer from Feds to Gov Plant, then a notarized document transferring title to me. I then requested a Bill of Sale from Gov Planet and sent the SF-97, notarized...

Looks like you will need a fitting. This one is located at Discount Hydraulic Hose and will work with military fuel hose that sometimes come with the 802s:
Part #: 8-2404-05-04
8-2404-05-04 | 5/16" JIC Male x 1/4" NPTF Male (Brass)
$3.31
4 separate cans for $200. Ones I got last year were manufactured in Europe by Wavian. The 802 at full load consumes 1/2 gallon per hour. So each 5 gallon can is around 10 hours of run time. And if your onboard tank level switch hangs up you only loose 3 or 4 gallons of overflow fuel. Plenty...
