I would be angry. That looks like some pretty big slop in a high dollar purchase. And because of the steep angle and all that weld, the fix isn't quick or easy.

Finished up the light bar and made this imitation alpha push bumper. Found some rubber strips on amazon that fit perfectly.

After 2 months, JD2 finally sent me a 1.25" bending die. So I was able to make a lightbar mount for the truck this weekend. A pair of 20" lightbars will show up Friday so they will be on next weekend.

I removed only the bolts holding the ball joints and the other 3 bolts necessary to make the repair. I'm not familiar with the blue lock nut you mention.

Big thanks to Coug and Millcommoguy. Today I took the hub off, installed a helicoil and a new input shaft seal. Everything went well and I was surprised how easy it all was. Your guidance helped tremendously. Thanks again fellas.

Having dealt with my fair share of airline leaks, I would recommend using DOT brake fittings to replace any leaking push lock fittings. All push locks seem to leak eventually while the DOT fitting leaks are quite rare. I source them from McMaster Carr. NAPA also carries a good stock.

Thanks Mogman, just ordered a set. Recently sent back a pos set from feebay claiming to be a HMMWV wiper upgrade. Pure junk, was an arm with the end pop riveted on, painted black, and the blade was too big. It wiped 1.5 inches below the glass.
