What have you done to your HMMWV today/lately

Heres a link to the product I used. Used almost the whole can for the curtain and roof of a two man. The mat seemed to soak it in. https://www.amazon.com/gp/aw/d/B07DNK8NBP?psc=1&ref=ppx_pop_mob_b_asin_title Update, now that the roof has been cooked in the sun all day, the mat is coming off of...

You're not to far from me. I could help with the welding possibly on a weekend. Got a mobile weld truck and need to get up to my house in Buffalo Creek soon anyway. Think I even have the nickel rod up there.

You Marines out there will remember these iso sleeping mats. I used a few of them, some mirror trim and spray adhesive to insulate the hardtop. And added another rigid molle panel.

Made a bracket and rerouted a cooling line to add this 24v alternator to the Duramax. Hope to purchase batteries soon and rig up a 24v system so my AC will work along with heater blower motor and a couple other things.

What have you done to your HMMWV today/lately

After ordering some rigid molle panels and being disappointed in the high price of plastic sheets with holes, I decided to see if I could make a small one to fit on top of my ac unit. Using one of those expensive panels as a jig and a 6 dollar piece of hdpe I managed to make one with only a few...

Really nice work. Would like to see more of how you accomplished that repair. Not that I plan to damage my truck but just in case.

    Using lock washers

Come to think of it, I don't really like lock washers and don't believe they work very well. I just gained a whole column in my short of space bolt bin. Thanks for the idea!

    First load.

Good lookin trailer. I have one but much rougher shape. Use it for scrap metal. With the light load you have there you might explore using the " dump" feature thats not really supposed to be used for dumping. I think its just for compact storage but if you set the brakes and pull the 2 pins in...

Plan to buy a 3D printer

I've seen some amazing things in the 3d metal printing arena. Can't imagine a machine with those capabilities would be obsolete any time soon. Sure improved models will undoubtedly come along but even whats available now can create some extremely impressive products that would be valuable well...

What have you done to your HMMWV today/lately

Theres a 3 inch body lift on this truck that really helped with access. Everything is in great shape and all bushings and ball joints are new. Wasn't planning on pulling the arm but just couldn't bust the bottom rear bolts without an impact. With the truck jacked up and another jack under the...

Added some shims to adjust the camber on a rear wheel that wasn't quite right. A little bit more work than anticipated but not too hard.
