Wish people would mind their own business. Hopefully someone will post with some good advice for you. Here I was thinking that Ohio was one of the "free" states.
My A2 was leaking air from the vent line. Enough so that it wouldn't build pressure above 60 psi. I'm not very familiar with the A3s, but in my case it meant time to rebuild the air pack. The seals inside had hardened and vented too much. I believe the A3s have two air packs. Be worth tracing...
I really hate thieves. The fishing pole story reminded me of a time when I was in a band. We used to practice in a rented space at one of those "U store it" places. They hit our unit one night and made off with my complete bass rig, a 7 piece drum set complete with stands, cymbals and sticks...
Don't sweat it, Tim. There are a few bad seeds no matter where you go. On this site very few. Keeps us on our toes. Thanks to Patracy we know what to look for.
It looks like you did well. Yes, some of the mods are a bit odd. The choice to replace the turn/marker lights with yet more forward facing lights caught my eye. To each their own, I try not to judge. The beautiful part is, now you can make it your own, just exactly how you want it. Good luck!
Ok I can see how they're made now, thanks. It looks like they made it a bit longer also. I never noticed from pictures that they were so different. I like the extra grab handles, too.
I hope yall will excuse a small sidetrack. Were the A3 hoods made differently than the A2 hoods? My A2 hood appears to be one piece of steel, no seam. I don't own an A3 to compare.....yet.
That is a fine looking truck! Congratulations, and welcome to the site. The TMs are helpful, and full of information. Navigating them can also be confusing at times. Don't hesitate to ask, if you get stuck. Somebody will have the answer. Good luck!
There is a folding step for sale in the "Parts for sale" section of the classifieds. Just FYI. Good luck on finding a solution. I have a folding step on mine, and it is easy to reach, for me.
I haven't needed a transport company yet, but I have seen several members on here endorsing United States of Freight. Haven't heard anything bad about them yet. Good luck with your search.
Welcome to the site! That is a nice looking A3. A lot of our members are retired or active military. There are also a lot of folks here like me who did not serve, but have a deep respect for those who do. I love military trucks (and jeeps, tanks, planes, boats). You will find a lot of great...
When my air pack failed, it was losing pressure through the vent line. Mine didn't lose it in small regular bursts, however. It was more of a constant air dump. My symptom was, it wouldn't build pressure past 60 psi. When I connected a compressor to the trailer supply and back fed pressure, I...
That's a good looking truck! Hard top, looks like a new stainless stack? Hope she runs smooth for you.
I haven't met any local members yet, but I do see a few CUCVs, a couple of HMMWVs, and one other Deuce running around my area. I've been wanting to go to the big rally in Georgia, but the world...
Bronco83man, that is great news! Congratulations. My kids and I have enjoyed my Deuce, and it is a good learning experience. I'm in Arab Alabama, just south of Huntsville. Take some pictures today, so we can all share in your excitement. Good luck!
