got the mains changed out. torquing to 240 ft/lbs was no easy task. One nice sized pieces of pipe to the rescue.
assembled the new pistons. needed to find a creative way to hold the connecting rod and be able to torque to the proper spec.
started reassembling the heads.

While waiting on the rebuild kit, I finished removing old Gasket material from the block. Wiped down most surfaces. Kit arrived on a pallet. Gonna make my ”liner hold down” clamps then it’s go time.

heads got magnafluxed, no issues. They are pressure testing to be sure. Heads were checked for flatness and are a bit warped. Going to have them surfaced. This will push out rebuild by at least a week.

supercharger and turbo removed.
Tore the heads down to just the exhaust valves. Ready for magnaflux.
Ordered Rebuild kit...just south of $4K...ouch!
Should start rebuild on Saturday 3/14. I’ll supply food and adult beverages to all wrenchers who come over and help.
