Me and Henry made it home with the take-out engine from Andy's Deuce just before 1700. About 300 miles out and back, no problems except for very bad directions on the way out, and traffic jams on the way back.

Also check to see if you have a riveted connection that has come loose in the light housings. A while back my flashers started giving me the same type problems. I took my housing apart and found so many loose connections that I took ALL of the the light housings off the truck, drilled out ALL...

Plus 1. Learn to use google or bing for your searches. I would use something like "deuce lock out hub Steel Soldiers" when looking for something. It really helps to use the site name.
My truck is a bobbed deuce and I burn WMO fuel. I purchased and de-splined a set of hubs a while back. I also installed bronze bushings (found them on ebay) and grease fittings in the caps. De-splining the hubs serves to reduce the drag of the tires in turns caused by the ackerman angle...

I've been trying to remember which compressors were used on Fords in that time frame. I think they may have been Yorks ... but I'm gonna have to look that up.
If you ever come accross that rebuild you did, or similar, maybe you could grab the make and model number of the compressor.
I'm very sure that you do. Recently I've been doing a lot of reading about cam shaft failures in multi-fuel engines.
In almost every thread, the owner has said almost the very same thing.
+1. Regardless of good or bad maintenance, parts do fail. Some stuff just breaks. Good maintenance...
