You might want to do a little searching over on the Deuce Modification and Hot Rodding forum:

There is a LOT of information on doing this job over there and a bunch of folks who have done it.
Because its a...
I'm finally getting started on this project. Just curious ... are you running WMO for fuel? What pressures are you seeing: 1) at the tank, before the first filter and 2) after the first filter before the final filters?
Have you ever seen any build up of pressures indicating a plugged filter...
Thanks for the information and advice 4X4.
I don't have any experience with these types of connections. Brass had not occured to me, nor stainless steel for that matter. I've looked up both this morning and see they can be a little pricey, especially as I add up how many I'll need.
You are...
I've been processing and running WMO in my Deuce for some time now. I've been on a tight budget, so I've cut corners where I could. I had high pressure lines made up but have been joining ever thing together with 3/4" black pipe and fittings.
I work VERY hard and VERY carefully and never have...
Great job ... and a great thread.
This should be a sticky.
Thank you very much.

BTW ... I'm thinking about doing this job with electrical sending units, a multi-switch and one gauge on the dash. Simple ... and I could keep an eye on pressures while on the road. Real important to somebody...
You might have been better off posting this question over on the Deuce Modification and Hot-Rodding forum
Deuce Modification and Hot-Rodding
A number of Deuce Guys don't have much use for bobbed trucks, and a lot of bobbed truck guys only hang out on the Mod. and...
Very interesting idea. I think I have seen films of this kind of starter installed on old aircraft.
Cold starts might be a problem in some areas, but it don't get all that cold in GA.
You could cut out all the 24 VDC stuff, just install a 12VDC alternator and one car sized battery and replace...
I saw that you installed a pressure gauge by the tank. Are you planning to install others? If space is a problem, you could use one gauge and a couple 3 way valves to select at what point in the system you want to check the pressure.
Nice looking truck.
Anywhere?
Will he go through a toll booth on the GSP?
Legally?
I lived in Jersey for 54 years ... I can see that truck making the NJ Troopers nervous.
Mines a 1968 M35A2.
I got over 15,000 miles on mine, most of that on WMO. It got me back and forth to school nearly every day for two years. 80 to 90 mile round trip depending on which campus I was going to. I parked it in the student's parking lot every day.
I took it up to Rockingham...
Interesting. I bobbed mine quite some time ago and I have never had any problems with axle hop. When I built/installed the rear suspension I used all the leaves from the M-105 springs plus a couple I took off the Deuce. I've never had any need to add traction bars, but then, I've never taken...
Thank you very much.
Thank you again. Me and another guy (Dave) started that forum. It is a library of scale drawings and 3 views of aircraft ... NOT model plans. I post there as Tedd60
The build thread on that model is here...
I always admired the guys that flew low and slow over Vietnam ... just LOOKIN' for trouble ... and givin' their all to help out the guys on the ground. The Cessna L-19/OE-1 Birddog couldn't be more aptly named. No hunter ever had a more fearless, reliable and ready companion.
This is not...
Me too!
I did a little searching and found this message on this website: http://www.saratogamuseum.org/guestbook/guestbook07.html
Been helping build a steel model of CV-60 for 5 years. Trying to obtain photos/negatives of all aircraft flown off CV-60. Need to make DECALS for Tails etc...
Yep. I did a little looking and I found it.\
Not many pictures. As I read the thread, it looks like the radiator Greg used may have less problems with hoses and such. I think its a little cheaper as well...
