check where harness plugs into transmission. Also someone while back pinched one of the harnesses in bottom of transmission as they re-installed pan. Something to think about.
isn't these trucks; beside the better engine ..... maybe alternator........ (but doubt it since the trans is same alison at 24v) exactly same as FMTV? Axles..... gee's there is bunch of them out there.. but yeah you will have to wait on the mail. So plan on towing a Jeep or similar to get...
except for AWD tail end of the transmission..... it is a standard heavy Allison Trans. Standard keypad with different programming for AWD. Axles.... not bad. In fact your in game at good time. see thread on Echo Hubs in here. CTIS...... PITA but their are options
pretty much everything...
amount of overhang brings arse end toward ground realllllllll fast......... granted not as fast than a twuck whose arse end is 2ft high yet w/ overhang........ but still way faster than you are likely envisioning, If you had similar overhang on your box truck..... then ignore me.... your...

you will find more info on mechanical side of things in the FMTV forum on this board. Pretty sure their is a thread or two on removing the second trans cooler. Thing someone even layed it down between frame rails and kept it.
there is numerous threads in here on this. Searching them out and reviewing them will give you some hints on the needed socket sizes. This will help lead you to buying a kit that happens to include all or most of the socket sizes you need. Usually I think there are three sockets in the kits.
was able to modify my A0 door limiter to work good again. Issue on mine seemed to be that one end could slide up over head of bolt (something like that. dont recall exactly).. allowing arm to come out of slide.... and even if not come "all" the way out... still open to far and hit cab...
not sure why your even making something of that.... never said he was.... only said with two trucks now.... he has that option to consider now; more so than he did previously. He is always updating/improving stuff.
no cracked frames to see.... they were built properly and boxes put on them with this in mind. There is I think only four or five solid boxes on LMTV's out there right now... but only about 4 years?? at most of minimal use..... time will tell... Id expect damage not to show up till 10+ years...
Maybe am thinking German boxes.... thought it was s280 too..... dont they mount with a tie down chain that has a spring or similar item somewhere along the bar, chain, or cable that allows for some flex?
Word I got is a retired engineer that was part of the design for M1079 when in...
