True, but it adds up.
If someone makes a drop-in manual controller in an enclosure that has just plugs into the cannon plug and turns on....for under $300 delivered...they should send me one for testing.
:)
Yeah, the A0 was confirmed and in theory the Arduino would work in all variants of the FMTV. I was able to test and confirm that it worked with the A1R so it's 100% confirmed compatible with all now. The test went so well I decided to purchase the device. I might have saved a few bucks going...
I'd rock it as a permanent window. IMO, any functionally opening hatch you attempt to install up there is going to leak like the original turrets did so I'd stick to permanent and seal it good. I'd certainly add some form of sliding shade to keep the greenhouse effect down as much as possible...
My controller went 5-solid awhile back. I just installed my new Arduino controller from Plasa. Very plug-and--play. And it's quite simple to change the preset psi for each mode. I plan to do a proper review thread.
Was the truck sitting up for an extended period? Have you hit the brakes with a hammer?
I've encountered both LMTVs and M1082 trailers that had been sitting up and developed "stuck" brake shoes. A few smacks with the old 10lb sledge did the trick. Typically from being put away wet or hot and...
Another thing before you bend over for surplus replacement would be to check the wiring and connections. I've seen broken wires, wires pulled from connectors, chaffed wires, brittle/broken insulation, etc. At the very least do a CLOSE inspection of the connectors at the controller and at the...
Might want to look into that site before ordering. It's throwing red flags as being a scam site at every level.

I seal all the exposed foam areas like that with bedliner. I tested FlexSeal and while a similar product, the bedliner cures hard so is what I found to be better for the task. Just don't spray it on so thick that it the window/vent can't fit in the hole.
Guy on FB with an A1R just did this very thing (hooked up the batteries backwards).
Now he has Christmas lights for a dashboard (not strobing in sequence, but just all flashing at once) ...and a bricked truck it seems.
:(
You could always add a dummy light that confirms that the aux ran is also running with the main.
Or you could just get out and check while underway.
(be sure to film that)
Yep, yep. Rgr all.
That's why I just want to put it back to the OEM for the Arduino setup.
I suppose the software could be simply adjusted here, but the goal here is to confirm it works on the A1R. We know it will, but one less rock in the cog if I put it back to OEM.
