Slide hammer is certainly the way to go! A few hits and it was out just wish getting the new one back in was quite as easy toke 30 minuets pounding around with the sledge to get it seated.
If you need some help replacing it let me know, since the one in my f150 went out quite suddenly, thought it might be a good idea to get some experience replacing big ones just in case the one in the 923 ever goes out.
Need to get out there soon and get a brake pod.But looks like i'm going to be stuck in town next couple of weeks but do have a 4 day weekend coming up,might have to drive the truck out to Salina and spend the night at the lake on the way, trucks been on the jack stands all week:cry: so I need to...

How did you hook your bearing puller on to it? Im not too knowledgeable with them, but I'm sure my uncle probably has a big hydraulic one he'd let me use. I did have one other idea, I was going to try and weld a T hook to hook behind it and weld another hook on the other end of the tool and...
Replaced one of the diaphragms on the brake canister but it still leaks so it must be the non serviceable one inside, here are some pics on the project I am on now replacing the passenger side grease and oil seals in the axle, any one have a trick to getting the inner oil seal out? The TM is...
Got the hub and every thing taken off,in addition to replacing the outer seal is there another seal that could be laking?is there one in between the brake and boot area (shown in second pic)?Maybe this seal http://www.ccsurplus.com/content/front-axle-seal-5-ton-shaft-assembly ?
Thanks
for any help
Took off the boot on the passenger side and and all the grease gushed out like a water fall because it appears to have been mixing with gear oil making it a thin jello like stuff, more work and things to replace.
