Hoping to start making the mount for my plow soon, got the PTO and hydraulic system installed, think that I am going to use 2 24v solenoid directional valves with one of those selector valves so I could still use the winch valve if (when) I get a winch.
Here is a picture of the plow it also...
Zerk labeled K in the picture, was also wondering what the 2 labeled L are for on my truck there are just 2 plugs there, are there supposed to be zerks there?
Got the one on the drivers side installed, It was single digit temperatures and below zero wind chill which made it impossible to get on with out heating it up with the heater but it does look nice now, old one had a hole your hand could fit through. So if you don't have a warm place to install...
This is what I just installed: http://www.allelectronics.com/make-a-store/item/BC-240/24-VDC-3-AMP-BATTERY-CHARGER/1.html , seems to work well, also have 2 24v solargizers that I picked up at a salvage yard for when theres no where to plug in.
I think some transmissions on these trucks run the red stuff whereas some run the clear, I've seen both before, but when I had to add fluid to my trans when I added a pto this is what I used and I have had no harsh shifting or transmission problems.
I think if you just ad the same type that is...
Went out today today and had a great time got a cargo cover and some straps for the pioneer rack, and a solar charger, over all just had a good time looking around, found some old MRE's in the map box of one truck, also saw an antenna mount on one of the 900 series beds stacked but half of it...
Was going to take the truck for a spin but when I shifted it into gear I could feel that one of the brakes was locked, So I shut the truck down and hooked the truck up to shop air and then hit the emergency spring brake override then walked around the truck and found that the drivers side rear...
If you want it to drain faster I just un did the lower of the two hoses going to the heater core and shoved a hose that went into my bucket on to it. This drains most of the coolant but you still have to drain a little out of the valve on the bottom radiator.
make sure to use lots of good...
Thanks, it was a little cold but still sounded pretty good, was hoping to mount the pioneer rack to day but it looks like I might have to wait on that. Looks like I am going to be heading out your way Friday or Saturday to get some parts and find an engine can top
Looks like I will have to come down Next week,After looking at the fording kit I found that if I install it without the lines going to the transmission and fuel tank then I will just have 2 holes where dirt can get sucked into the intake manifold so i Guess that I will have to get those lines...
Here are some pics of the PTO and Hydraulic system that I got from Glen a few weeks ago, got most of it put on just need to get the 24vdc valves so I can control my plow then it should be all ready to go, but since I have the control up in the cab for a winch..... I might find my self coming...
