Feltz is the place all right. I bought a dozen MT/R's from him. I caught him in Texas while he was there picking out a large lot to send back to Wisconsin and he drop shipped them right to California for me.

Definitely still carry a spare.
Run flats get you out of dodge, but drive on them for more than a few miles and the tire shreds to the point where you can only go 5mph because the tread slaps the inside of the wheel well.
You'll get home if you are just tooling around the neighborhood, if...
I picked up a couple of M101's last year in a similar fashion. No forklift to assist though :(

Are you talking about the PCB box that is under the dash by the driver's left knee?
If the wire comes off of one of the mounting studs, then it's likely a ground strap to the alternator ground point.

The fan shouldn't spin by hand with the engine off. Follow the hose from the face of the fan clutch up to the cadillac valve on the firewall. Disconnect it from the valve and apply 100psi compressed air to the hose. While you are holding the pressure on, see if you can turn the fan. If not, the...
They did make an NP-242 designed to go behind a 3-speed. They were meant as spare parts for older trucks so they wouldn't have to stock 218's anymore.
I don't have a comprehensive list of the differences, but I think the major one was the front output yolk took a smaller u-joint so it would...
FWIW Camp Delta @ Tower Park runs from the 20th-27th, which conflicts with the second proposed date.

It's called a weapons tray. The version you have is colloquially known as the "swiss cheese mount" because of all the holes.
I think I paid $75 for mine. With all the pins and stuff in the kit you might get more.
I don't know why there would be a mod kit consisting of just a weapons tray...
Have you checked the exhaust? I had an exhaust pipe crack and separate from the muffler. The pipe was still butted up against the muffler, just cracked the whole way around, so there was a small airgap for the noise to propagate through.
The engine sounds really clattery and tinny with an open...
I have the milemarker installed on my truck and I like it a lot. It is 100% duty cycle, so no waiting around all the time for it to cool off. It just pulls and pulls all day long. It also fits between the frame rails so the approach angle is not impacted. True, you need the truck to be running...
Eh, nothing can ever be perfect. I agree, working on that side of the engine does suck, but removing the starter helps a lot. Doing the differential output seals sucks too if you have the old style hangars that aren't clearanced for seal removal.
For comparison, open the hood on a late model...

For any alternator larger than the 60amp you will have to get the appropriate mounting bracket and pulley. The Niehoff is the best one anyway.

That healthy layer of black scum is probably clutch friction material that used to be part of your first gear clutch... Might be time for a rebuild.
