I believe the warn winches are too wide to mount between the frame rails on the mile marker bracket. That's why the warn bracket sticks out the front.
The 12v tap of the 200a alternator is rated for 50a.

The resistance of those glow plugs is about 2 ohms when new.
Ohms Law is V=I*R
You know V=28 max (when the alternator is charging) and I just told you R
Rearrange and solve:
I=28V/2OHMS
I=14A
So you should size for 8 glow plugs at 14A each plus some overhead (usually 20 or 25%).
So you...
Some H1 guys did tests with electric fans over on HML a long time ago. Ultimately you need the same amount of power to move the same amount of air over the radiator.
The electric fans draw from the alternator and the alternator draws from the engine. All you do is change the accessory that is...
The original setup is 2 belts over the power steering and 2 belts over the alternator. The setup for 200a is 1 belt over the power steering and 3 belts over the alternator.
Also you have the wrong crank pulley for the A/C compressor. You have the 4 groove installed and you need to replace it...
They do what they were designed to do well. Convoy speed is 45 and off-road trailer speed was limited by the M101 trailer to 12 (strangely specific). M1101 trailers were supposed to raise that to 20.
Off-road they are great trucks. Take the same 18 year old and put him in a manual trans lifted...
Good luck towing anything heavy with the HMMWV. If you hit a .01% grade you'll slow down to 40 and be in 3rd gear anyway.
I pull my M101A3 empty and it's noticeable on flat highway.

I wouldn't recommend using a DC/DC converter to power your TCM. It's another complicated thing to break and likely won't be in a harsh environment enclosure. It'll work for a while, but who knows when it will kick the bucket.
The TCM draws a couple of amps max. I wouldn't be surprised if it was...
Just a correction for earlier in the thread: The 242 transfer case does have a rudimentary pump in it. When you put the case halves back together you have to make sure the slots on the drive wheel thing index properly on the shaft or you'll bend it.

There are only two types of connector for the 4L80e. GM and Jaguar. The military transmission uses the GM connector. It's standard and you don't have to mess with it. If you look on the stupid auction site you will find "repair harnesses" which consist of the connector with 6" or a foot of...
Seems like a lot of people have questions about transmission swapping, so I'll refresh the link to my write-up on the topic. Maybe make it a sticky?

If you have the large harness connector on the military TCM, you can just make your own harness. I did it and it's been going strong for years.
I got the wire from Erik's.
The bead angle of the 16.5 rims is shallower than a normal drop center rim. They are designed to have the beadlock from the runflat to ensure the bead doesn't break. Guys run all day without them, but why take that chance?
