FLU419 SEE HMMH HME Owners group

Yes, and at the risk of turning this into a modifications thread, the backhoe boom when fully retracted is pretty spongy so not the best foundation for a lifting device. I really just want the rear implement off an HMMH. I’ll give you $2000 for yours.

FLU419 SEE HMMH HME Owners group

Copy. Thats what i was looking for, whether or not it stays down for some of you or not. Ill look into it. On the crane front, yes i was actually looking at fabing up a stinger to mount in place of the bucket, possibly with a winch on the end. As if i don’t have enough projects.

So jealous of the HMMH. On another note, the float function on my SEE requires that I hold the lever past the detent. Does everyones work that way? I would love the detent to hold the lever down for me. Thoughts?

Given that the symptom starts when you use the high idle circuit, i would suspect the components involved there. Namely the tool circuit switch and the throttle air cylinder. Looking at the air system diagrams in the student handout available in the TM section might be helpful too. Can you...

    Slow oil pressure 406 / 419

Copy those responses. Thank you. I did check today by cranking the engine with the throttle off until pressure registered, that took a while, but as soon as I open the throttle and started the engine the pressure rose immediately. The take-home is the engine is definitely tight, there’s no low...

    Slow oil pressure 406 / 419

On my FLU419 the oil pressure takes about 11 seconds to register on the gage. This is consistent every time the engine is started after sitting overnight. It occurs to me now that I haven't confirmed how long it lags after a few minutes off with the engine warm, but not long. As you might...

Looks like the mil called it a check valve, and it seams like it might actually port pilot pressure to move the valve spool. Electric over hydraulic over hydraulic... weird. The whole assem. ( 3-18 ) is NSN 4820-01-243-4805. Part Target page is...

If you're referring to the lock nut equipped allen shaft adjustments, those look an awful lot like load retention valves... though a little different that the valves I'm used to working on. In the red circled photo the one on the right is the loader boom control (why it has two electrical...

Using my SEE for real work

Not the biggest ditch, but considering I’m a cat controls guy and this is as right next to power and over the top of irrigation water, it saved a lot of hand work. The three stick foot swing stuff is weird.

FLU419 SEE HMMH HME Owners group

Copy. Removing the loader actually is on my list as is the backhoe just for the purpose of really going through things. Incidentally, the TM's are quite frustrating. F-ing government decided that service procedures should be in a different book as the parts they require. Further they should...

FLU419 SEE HMMH HME Owners group

Exactly the kind of response I was hoping for. Thank you. Three questions, first what does letting it sit for a while have to do with anything? Second, Wouldn’t a plugged vent just make the cylinder sluggish but still functional? Third were you able to get at this vent and paint without tilting...

Hey everybody, how authoritative is your four-wheel-drive air cylinder engagement? I know I have a problem with mine as the cylinder does sometimes sorta try to kinda retract and move the lever but then it bleeds off. My question is how forcefully does a properly functioning cylinder move that...

    Hour meter on my FLU419

The dangers of public math. 4.5 mph then.

    Hour meter on my FLU419

That works out to 46.5 mi/hr. Pretty good for a SEE. :driver:

FLU419 SEE HMMH HME Owners group

Exactly! That was one of the many things I wanted to trace. That and figure out if there's some reason the front loader is so slow and weak, if a larger displacement gear pump or adjustment of some orifice or valve is possible. If I'm being honest with myself, it's really just procrastination...

I can't seem to find a hydraulic system schematic for SEE/HMMH's. Do we know if one exists?

    FLU tires

Yes and yes. Also I just noticed that mine are marked Michelin X not XL. Same same or different?

    FLU tires

What about these; 16.0/70-20 BKT AS-504 I-3Anyone know anything about them or run them? The load rating looks right, G, 9000 lbs per single according to some web sources. The cost is higher than I'd like for sure and the on road manners are probably worse then the XL. Thoughts?

Flame me if necessary as I'm not yet sure if this question belongs in this thread; BUT... i tested the stanley breaker that came with my SEE the other day and it worked great as far as I could tell, but when I disconnected it (brief run ~30 sec) it started bleeding out of the nut at the top. (I...
