Here's a few threads to read. I searched "2 or 4 batteries" in the little google search box towards the top right corner of the steel soldiers forum.

Amazing job! Please post more pics when you get the interior sorted out.
If I had to critique one thing I would have made the exhaust stacks a little bit taller. This would keep the smoke/soot out of the intake stack.

Why don't you bring your deuce to the rally in Ponchatoula next April at Tim's house and we can put the power steering kit on your truck there? Plenty of gear heads there. I'll pitch in!
I have the Waterloo power steering kit on my deuce so I know how to install it.
Glad you got it sorted out. Some of the guys on the forum that don't have hair might take offense to that statement. (Don't worry I got a white man fro.) :clinto:
- Finished replacing the transfer case
- Installed a Vanner 50 amp equalizer, 35 amp + 80 amp circuit breakers, dual Blue Sea Systems fuse boxes (100A each) and a boat load of 4 gauge wire
- Removed the driver seat. Air ride seats in my future?
- Cranked it twice. Once for neighbors and again...

Things completed:

I updated Hanksdeuce.com with a picture gallery for each of the following modifications:
-Batteries & Cables
-Air Shutoff Valve
A few teasers... Tons more pictures on my website link above.

First, I tightened the clear reinforced hose on the mechanical lift pump inlet (driver side of engine) and pressed the primer bulb. About 50 thumb presses later I had fuel to the top of the fuel...
Unfortunately, the truck isn't running on the road yet. However, a major milestone was reached yesterday - I bumped the starter for the first time.
I'm trying to prime the fuel system, bleed the Hydroboost brakes, and finish installing a reconditioned transfer case. Good thing I have 26...
#1 Power Steering
#2 Bobbing it 3 feet shorter and losing an axle
#3 Suspension lift (8 inch) + 53 inch Michelins
#4 Disc Brakes
I can't comment on swapping the 5.9L Cummins because I ain't done yet.
