Hey I know this truck, Glad somebody is still working on it. The handle takes little effort to move, very smooth on my tcase. where in the city are Jcole?
Yes mine is doing the same thing but a **** of a lot less, my coolant level is dropping very slowly and none in the oil. While it's running I can see very small bubbles coming out of the front of the head. I will start by checking the torque values on the head bolts. If it still leaks it will...
Thank you Petr C. out in Jacksonville Florida hes building a quad steer 8x8 out of a few M35a3's. Just so happens that works out great for me. I bought a air assist steering kit, air dryer, mirror assembly's, and an air shift t-case.
very happy:D
I was out and about a week ago driving along I notice a security guard waving me over. I drove and passed the barricade and found myself on the set of the latest Godzilla film. The guard thinking I was part of the crew (we don't see these trucks just driving around much up here) allowed me to...
I'm with you friend, we are not working on the star ship enterprise here. These trucks are as simple as they get. I have never referenced the TM's. I choose not to find the information I need from the TM's
Torque specs have been the only reason I have ever needed to get out side information...
I agree thats the longest and most difficult shift to master, i use first only to get me rolling and shift out at a relatively low RPM. The other shifts I just whined her out to about 2400 and use the clutch to break the tension so to speak and the stick falls right into place. Smooth...
Well its funny you mentioned it, While I was out this weekend I had thought about giving you call and coming to see you on Saturday. Expect to see soon friend, it's not often I get to hang out with others of my kind.....the MV type.
Dropped the top this weekend, the sun was out. Warm and sunny, nothing beats the open road after dark......looking up and seeing only the stars on a clear March night with the sound of a deuce and a half running at about 2400 rpm.
A few pics, my sister spotted me in traffic with no shirt on...
I had thought about one of those and did some searching on them. The bars that support the soft top just above the back of the drivers head. They were spaced almost perfect for the light. Installed a quick connect for when I pull the top off.
With the new seats I've lost an Ipod down the slot...
I've installed my dome light inside the cab. It needed it pretty bad, after dark nothing could be seen. I took apart the light fixture and colored clear lens red. Now I have a light with both red and blue lens filters. It's works great.
At 10 psi off road the truck rides like its on clouds....almost. 50 psi on the pavement is a good all around number for me. Having used the truck several times for driving 4 hours plus air pressure makes a big difference in fuel consumption. The more air in the tires the less drag.
For the...
The 395s max size for a stock deuce. The tandem rear axles will not allow any larger. The tires will touch or just plain not fit. It's the center to center measurement of the rear axles.
You want larger tires....bob it. Custom leaf spring mounting plates, 53's, and an 60% percent increase in...
