Stan my man, that is a nice offer. I do not have any bow stuff yet but our local MV collector has a set on an M35 he said he'd sell me for $100 or so. Probably be cheaper for me to go that route I would imagine?
Based on the rest of the simplistic engineering on these vehicles Dan, I would say you hit the nail on the head in regards to the hole size and fuel pressure. Nothing is simpler than regulating fuel flow/pressure by drilling a hole in the pickup or in this case "push up" tube.
While you have...
Edit, I see you posted pics. Awesome, what the heck is the bleedback hole for anyway? To let fuel return back to the tank after shut down? Any draw back to plugging them you think?
Dear Santa, do you have any marker light cores in your bag of goodies? My rear marker lights are in need of rebuilding. Oddly enough, the stop light buckets are almost like new inside. Just amazing.
I also have a front marker light in need of fixing up. I can do the work, what I lack is cores...
After a year of working on and around the M211 which has 2 gallons of Behr on it I have just been downright astounded as to how durable it has been. It is tool proof, diesel proof and every other proof. It's been the most durable paint job i've ever done.
1.What did you apply the Behr over? It...
A 6.2 and Th400 in an M5? You guys rock.
I put a 6.2 with a 700r4 in my M211.
Please keep us updated on this, I would love to see some video or more pictures of your guy's project. Just too cool. :)
I am curious to see how fast that tank will move. The Db2 injection pump on these...
Good for you on working to achieve the all mighty "certificate" that proves you have enough horse sense to know which side of a wrench is the business end. Seriously though, nothing wrong schooling. Always felt "what you give is what you get" when it comes to such things. We are all watching...
FireFighterHill, I appreciate your concern and a fire hazard is the 1st thing that came to my mind when I thought "cheap insulation". I watched my brothers Honda go up in flames in his friends driveway, which in turn set the entire house on fire. Declared a total loss, the car and the house...
Don Alloy1, I have not yet applied any to the cab. Just the sheet metal test piece. I used Behr plus ultra exterior 2 in 1. It is an excellent paint and by no means does it dry like "latex". It dries extremely hard but remains more flexible than enamels. It has always adhered very well to any...
The test was 2 pieces of sheet metal. We all know what sheet metal sounds like when you hit it. After applying 4 coats the undercoating the sheet metal went from sounding like.....sheetmetal.....to sounding like a dead, flat, vibration less piece of cardboard. Total night and day difference...
Here's the lights on the M211. I painted the plastic housings so the sun doesn't eat them up and used calking to seal the housings to the hard top. You can ditch the 12v bulbs for 24v ones.
Fallen, this is your 3rd post asking where to find an instrument panel, I get the feeling you are new to forums in general and do not yet see any replies we have made to your posts. As I said in your original thread, Tom at Alfa Heaven has everything that you need. He goes by the name MajorTom...
Xylene will be fine for this time of the year in your neck of the woods. Have you considered looking into the Behr house paints? They have become extremely popular with our members here, in fact the Idaho Motor Pool guys use nothing but the Behr paints on all the the truck's they sell. You will...
Here you go, you can print this page out and it should help with what you have going on under the dash. HOPEFULLY they left the little metal wiring tags on the wires or at least a few of them which will help greatly.
That is awesome, another M211 saved from the ravages of time. If you go back to the top of this page, you will see I posted the link to the Alfa Heaven website. He sells dash panels for $15 and also carries all the other parts you are going to need. Just call him up and tell him your entire dash...
I see you opted for the single piston compressor, good choice. IMO, if they pump just as much air and there are a few less moving parts it's a win win situation.
Tom at Alfa Heaven can set you up with a panel with gauges, if nobody cut the wires it should be a simple plug and play deal. Wiring on these vehicles is very straightforward once you've played around under the dash a bit.
