    1953 M135 upgrade?

If you want to be a GMC owner you will need to be CREATIVE. They are a very easy to maintain vehicle, but can be expensive sometimes. Parts are still widely available and there are MANY way's to adapt and overcome little parts obstacles. A LOT of information has been posted here in the past...

    Alternator or Generator Pulley

If the pulley is plastic (not familiar with the M35's just the older M series) it is likely an alternator and not the older style generator. Is this the alternator you have? Alternator For M-Series Vehicles, 24 Volt 60 Amp, AMA5104UT If so I used the NSN (national stock number) of the...

Lucky for you back in 99 there were parts still everywhere for everything on these truck's. They dried up shortly thereafter.

How much is he asking for tires? I get mine locally for $75 each in brand new to like new condition, mounted on rims and inflated most of the time. Course I have to trade him my old tire/wheel are a core.

That 300 truck buyer sounds like Tom from Alfa Heaven. He has owned hundreds of GMC's and is an aging guru. He gave me the idea for my 6.2 700r4 conversion.

Warning!! Check your surplus engines before start up!

No, the cap is from the 455 Olds I took out of the truck when I bought it. It fits okay but I'd like to order the proper GM cap for it. The thing on the oil filler tube is an old school crankcase breather. Just vents to the atmosphere so there's no problems with crankcase pressure. However...

Warning!! Check your surplus engines before start up!

I honestly don't know. This is not the 1st time I have gotten super lucky on things. This type of stuff happens a lot to me. Something told me I just needed to check. Aunt always told me to follow my gut and never be a piece of chit like my brothers are. Great woman.

I also got an email this morning from Ground Up restorations who wants to donate a brand new 4 core 65 Chevelle radiator to replace the old one I bought off ebay that turned out to be...
