@Barrman The problem is the Plastic Push In Tabs. They just move all around! I’m thinking maybe I need measure things, then tape them into place, etc. It’s been a big pain in my butt!!

Is there a proper way or trick to installing the New LMC interior door panels on an M1009?? I place it over the silver handle first, the one that you pull to open the door. The Plastic Tabs/Clips that go on the panel and snap into the door just keep popping out of the door panel as soon as I try...
@Commander5993 man that’s frustrating. You’re so close to finishing. One last thought, beyond the Ground idea. Turn one of the Bulbs ever so slightly, then again, then again. Those bulbs can sometimes be just oh so slightly off and not work properly.

@Commander5993 maybe double check the Big Plug at the back of the Cluster. If it’s not in all the way it can cause problems. It needs to click on both sides of the plug. Maybe clean it as well. Food for thought.

@ezgn @cucvrus
The Transmission Mounts were just installed, so I went underneath the engine to clean up things to make sure there are no leaks.
While under there, I realized something, there are only 2 Bolts and Nuts for the Motor Mount on the Passengers Side! Is this going to be a problem...
The New Transmission Mounts are In!
*Update: Unfortunately there is a leak where the Transmission and Transfer Case meet. I’m going to take a look at it. Maybe there’s a Gasket there that needs changed. Or maybe a Bolt needs tightened.
On a Side Note, if anybody needs it, the Part #’s...
@ezgn it sounds like one of you should make a How to Video with the whole lining up the Timing thing. That could be very cool and helpful to others in the future.

@ezgn I haven’t driven it since they were installed. The bozo mechanic bent my Oil Pan while he installed the motor mounts. I was paranoid that the oil pump might be damaged and didn’t want to even drive it. So I had it towed to another mechanic I’ve used before.
The Oil Pan has already been...
Does anyone know the correct Transmission Mount(s) for a CUCV M1009? What’s the Part Number(s)?
This is the one I ordered on Amazon:
This is the one I ordered from 4 Wheel Parts:
I’m not sure why, but my mechanic buddy says the Black One (top pic) is wrong. Not sure why?!
Someone on...
I haven’t been on for about a month. Look how this Topic has grown. Wow!
You guys are having a good old time with the Fuel Gauge. What a mess huh?
I’m stating the obvious, but if you take your dash apart again, make sure that Big Main Plug clicks back in on Both sides. It can make a huge...
@cucvrus Rick, I have a quick question. Should I use the small separate rubber part of the Oil Pan Gasket or just put Gasket maker in it’s place?

I am wondering, when installing a Starter into my 1985 CUCV M1009, are Shims required?
Not long ago the Old Starter was sparking when I started the engine. I discovered the whole starter was lose. The Cover was also lose and a Bolt was bent. We installed a New Starter, my buddy just had to...
p.s. @cucvrus Rick, The Rear Main Seal isn’t something I should address as well?
I had it done not long ago. I have been fixing seals, so I can’t say whether it’s leaking or not.

@cucvrus Thank You Rick! I ordered a used one, but the idea of hammering my dented one out is a good one. I may have to do that if the pan I ordered doesn’t get here in time.
From what I read in the TM, taking the Pan off is fairly simple. It’s just a matter of unscrewing all the pieces, then...
@cucvrus @87cr250r I crawled under and took a picture in the daylight. He did quite a number!!
I ordered a used one from Mike M in PA.
