    Deuce Master Cylinder

I drilled a vent hole and bleed everthing last night with my wife's help. Of course I had to run the master cylinder dry one time before starting over, she was very excited about that. I'll check it later to verify it stayed pumped up, now I have to deal with a new belt for the compressor. I...

    Deuce Master Cylinder

I guess that's an option but I'd really like to use a metal cap even if I had to drill it out. I may go ahead drill this one and be done.

    Deuce Master Cylinder

I finally got around to measuring the smaller cap today and it's 1-1/4". Anyone know of a replacement cap?

    Deuce Master Cylinder

So I just got a chance (and all the parts for the one man bleeder) to finish the bleeding process and found out the rubber cap and the old master cylinder cap are different sizes. I'll have to try to measure to see what I need but has anyone else run into this situation? Is there another cap...

    Deuce Master Cylinder

I have been unable to find anyone talking about bleeding a new master cylinder for a deuce. Is there a bleeding procedure before installing it or is it just gravity bleed by opening the bleeder on the air pack? Next question is the new MC came with a rubber cap that is not vented, can this be...

    M45 FTL 1 or M45A2

I got two 2.5 Ton Fire Trucks the other day and just looking around, there doesn't seem to be a lot of them out there. Is there some kind of way to find out how many were made? Or any other information on them? On one the tag says M45-FTL-1 and the other M45A2. Here is a picture of one, the...

Anyone able to title a MV from the SF97 that is older than 1985 in Georgia?

Thanks for the info. The title helps when selling out of state, I had someone, previously, from SC coming to look at an 1985 truck with no title and when he looked into it for his state, he just cancelled. If I go register it, they will still want me to pay some kind of fee.

Anyone able to title a MV from the SF97 that is older than 1985 in Georgia?

I took the SF97 to the tax commissioner in my county to get the title for a 1977 M36A. In GA anything 1985 and older doesn't require a tag, so their system was not allowing her to complete the title request. Has anyone on here been able to get a title from a SF97 that is older than 1985 in Georgia?

5 ton M929 Transfer case won't shift into low

Update, I found the shifter interlock cylinder was stuck and would not allow the level to move. The cylinder screws out and when it was removed, I tried the shifter and it worked. I disassembled the cylinder and cleaned up the piston and cylinder walls, they were pretty bad, and now it is...

5 ton M929 Transfer case won't shift into low

I will try this as well. Thanks for the tip.

5 ton M929 Transfer case won't shift into low

I have already taken loose the line to the lock cylinder (in the transfer case) but that did not help. I will try this as well, once the rain passes thru.

5 ton M929 Transfer case won't shift into low

The lever and truck linkage moves freely when disconnected. The part in the transfer case does not move.

5 ton M929 Transfer case won't shift into low

My transfer case will not shift into low. I have followed the other post on here that say it has an air lock and it should shift with all the air out. It still doesn't, I took the linkage loose to make sure that wasn't the problem and it moves fine when it is disconnected from the transfer...

    M929 Dump Truck PTO removal

I was originally planning the cheap cable but have reconsidered. I believe I have the support that bolts to the PTO so I should just be able to install it and clamp the cable to it. I found a cable I had salvaged from an old bus transmission shifter that is very similar to the original that I...

    M929 Dump Truck PTO removal

I finally got around to getting this done and was able to slide the PTO out without moving the transmission. The hardest part of the job was removing the driveshaft as it took a lot of hits with an air hammer. I was able to get the PTO repaired and back on and the truck to dump but still have...
