Power X Doors - Which are the best?

Hey Lothar - are you referring to the doors that MME was selling or the power window kits? I don't believe MME sells those anymore.

Power X Doors - Which are the best?

That link is dead - did you ever get those installed? is there a thread on it somewhere? I got the MME doors on this weekend as you saw in taht other thread (I probably should start a clean one since I put it in "make your own doors" thread) - but...power windows seem simple enough since they...

Has anyone attempted to make their own hard doors?

Got the doors installed. Was sweating the shipping as door four trailed a bit - made a video. Hope you enjoy. By the way, these cost way too much money but there is truly no way with my current tools I could have built a set this quickly as ordering.

Has anyone attempted to make their own hard doors?

Two of four arrived last night. One listed “on the way” and one listed as “delayed”. They all Left the vendor at the same time! Lol. About a 3,500 mile journey here though. Look good so far.

Has anyone attempted to make their own hard doors?

So...we had a historic snow storm this week - feet of snow around my house - hours and hours in the driveway just getting it cleared last night. I'm wondering if this will delay the receipt of the hard doors....should be here tomorrow. The hardest part will be likely the door striker install...

Has anyone attempted to make their own hard doors?

No - I looked very close at their doors - they have a lot of coverage on even Amazon and more....but I have to ship to AK - so shipping and flexibility with that is part of my decision process.

Has anyone attempted to make their own hard doors?

So...for me after doing a LOT of looking, measuring, reading, and counting costs...I opted to take the "expensive/easy" way out and order a set of doors. There are a handful of people making this happen - I've seen fiberglass, steel, and aluminum. In the aluminum, I've seen 1/4" and 1/8" and...

Has anyone attempted to make their own hard doors?

Just an update on this thought process. We have an RV manufacture plant near us and I visited them yesterday afternoon. They sell raw materials to the public including the various gauge of aluminum and fiberglass that they skin RVS and windows. I can get a sheet of 8' by 8' Fiberglass skin...

6.2 quality valve cover gaskets? Tips/tricks?

I thought about it. But considering how dirty the engine was and something I read that struck fear in me about breaking internal coating loose in the lines. That’s probably totally made up but worth considering. A kink in the line would suck. But yep. Total cluster. Would be easy Peasy out...

6.2 quality valve cover gaskets? Tips/tricks?

The fact the passenger side was cracked and jb welded at the place it was leaking was likely my biggest issue. If yours are not cracked and were well sealed by the last soldier in there you are good to go.

    Limb Risers?????

I just read a thread or two here and went looking for alternatives and came up with these. And…they work. I’d like to get stainless wing nuts on the adjusters to make it super easy to spin them on and off by hand.

6.2 quality valve cover gaskets? Tips/tricks?

I got it done. Ugly thankless job. I made a video about it. Worst video ever!

Humvee down! Major stuck off road (video)

We did the glacier last weekend. New video. I need yo figure out this frozen winch issue. It became useless.

No. I wish I did. I worry about punching the fuel tank.

6.2 quality valve cover gaskets? Tips/tricks?

So...you are not wrong. In fact, I discovered the right valve cover had a JB weld repair at some point in the exact area it is still leaking. I have put in an order and am now waiting on covers - CDR hoses...and more. It is a MESS in there - what a terrible design! It takes and army to...

HMMWV Technical Manuals, If you need it it's here!

the ones that go from the pump to the injectors - I already got them off though - There was no way to get the valve cover out without them out of the way, and the only instructions I could locate in the manual were for the covers - which was after lines removed - but the intake had to come off too.

HMMWV Technical Manuals, If you need it it's here!

So where/how do we search this? The link is working - I found I need to get the process to remove/install the fuel lines at 9-2320-280-20 but I can't actually locate that TM process.

6.2 quality valve cover gaskets? Tips/tricks?

Reviving and OLD thread - so I can no longer ignore this leak. I looked at the guide TM 9-2320-280-34 - it says remove the fuel injector lines. But, I don't see the connect to the link for that - does that mean intake manifold off to properly unscrew the fuel injector lines?
