Honestly, I think one of my run flats was a little wonky. It looked like one of the edges was a little warped.
After it was in the tire and wit the rim in it, it looked good, but I imagine it only take a little bit to be out enough to feel the difference.
I figure that I will make that tire my...
I did two trucks. One runs SMOOTH!!!
The other does have vibration around 40 ish mph. I put centramatics on that one, but it is still there. So I know I have one tire a bit out that I need to go over again.
Btw, getting them balanced is good. Adding Centramatics or Balance Masters is even...
I hate that tool!
I changed over to using a 2" ratchet strap. Works MUCH faster!
Just make sure to flex the runflat at the notches. This point alone makes the single biggest difference.
Once you do that, you can compress the runflat a lot more, and you barely need much effort to get the runflat...
The turbo is part of it. These only run really low boost? And you can only add so many lbs of boost on these NA motors.
No idea what Banks did though.
Lag might not be the best term to use, but it is the closest term.
The issue is the LAG caused by all the extra volume that needs to be pressurized.
Honestly, with an auto tranny, I don't think the lag is too big of a deal. A 6.5l with intercooler in a manual trans setup, Ugh, that would be horrible!
Video says they will have full doors soon.
Would be interesting to see.
I like the idea of having two layers of 1/4" each. That sounds like a pretty stout door!
Got this a while back in a trade for other stuff. I haven't paid attention to it until now, but I cannot find a picture that shows this grill or mounting brackets.
I know this isn't the best picture, but shows the mounting holes.
Well, I highly doubt most people put enough mileage on them to go by mileage (obvious exceptions like Simp, etc.)
So a TIME based interval is usually a better option to use.
You will most likely not run the engine enough to get enough soot, crud, etc. into the oil. So think about the acidic...
I agree with having spare shifters. I am a 'one is none' kind of guy.
And you are definitely correct on the supply running out sooner or later.
I plan on getting at least and extra shifter, but if they fail THAT often, I might get more. If not, then I have a spare, and the one I took out to...
On my second M920, I just had to replace the shifter. The one it had was 'rebuilt' when it went through depot, but it never felt right. I started to get hard to shift, and had a few other issues.
So, last weekend I swapped it for a new one from fleebay.
It shifts great, like it is supposed to...
While I prefer to cruise at slower speeds, both of my M1123s cruise nicely at 70 mph. Anything more than this is dependent on the grade of hill, head wind, etc.
Top speed, close to 95 mph on a decent downhill portion where I was REALLY trying to catch up to someone.
I have cruised in the 80 to...
Hate the China part of this...
But, if/when I have to replace mine, I like to at least know what my options are.
I am not as worried about the cost, but I have a simple philosophy, if I have to replace something, I usually like to upgrade while I do.
