I need to replace the temp sending unit on my m35. I've been putting PB buster on the fitting. Anything else I can do to ease getting the old unit out? I've found a lot on testing temp sending units and temp gauges but nothing on torque for installing sending unit. Should a sealent be used...
Just went through this problem. Put new oil gauge in last May and it worked fine until 2 weeks ago. Gauge became erratic and would pin at high end. Checked ground but it became erratic again. Put in new sending unit. No change. Problem was wire connecting gauge and sending unit. Replaced wire...
Replaced oil pressure gauge and checked sending unit. Found sending unit was 120psi and pressure gauge was 60psi. Now they match. Washed truck for parades.

I finally installed a winch on my 1971 M35. It was pretty much straight forward. Getting the knockout for the pto shifter out was a pain. It would not knock out. I had to drill a bunch of holes and use a chisel. The pto went on easily once I got the correct studs. Every thing else went...

I now have all the parts to install a winch on my m35a2 wo/w. I can see where the opening in the floor is supposed to go for the pto control lever. Is it a true knockout or do I need to cut it out? Any suggestions to make that opening?
Thanks in advance
