    How to remove this bushing??

If you are asking about the riveted frame housing section with the rubber bushing I use a grinder on the outside of frame and grind as flush as possible and not grind on frame, scratching is ok. The rivets are countersunk into the frame some. Then I take a bit close to size of the rivet, drill...

Have you had a chance to check the starter bolts? If the starter drive is hung up doing as TGP has suggested may return the drive. And try to restart and see if it is a loud click or soft click, for engagement.

Also what is the voltage on each battery and then combined? Marcus is right about the 12 volt conversion. The headlight blown fuse needs attention to see that there is not a chaffed power wire grounding out. Seems that there is several problems happening. Check out wires carefully, sometimes...

    Rookie rear main seal replacement

There used to be a little diagram that showed that offsetting the seal about an 1/8 inch to part the seal from the mating surface of the cap so to minimize the flat machined surface from leaking. Then a little silicon outside the rubber seal on the mating surface of the cap to the block as to...

    M1028a2 differential drain

I pull the covers at 50K and change out gear oil, and check for wear, debris. Or if I am in deep water stopped, over my wheels. Then I pull pan to check for water, or pull the fill plug and take a sample, inspect. I also lengthened my vent hoses higher and put on new vent caps. For the price of...

    Tires for M1028

I have to agree that tires on a Fire Rescue, Brush Truck are not something that the cheapest wins. I have BFG 285 75 16 All Terrains on the 6.5 rims with no issue also. Most time when you have to have the brush truck the ground is hard anyway, but still you may have to deal with unseen hazards...

Kaiser67M715, Great progress even on cool days in NH. The yellow numbers I have never seen on any truck, ever. Chalk marks for sure, but the only thing I can think is that before the frame was manufactured that maybe a steel lot number?

    M-917 20 Ton Dump Recovery

The truck looks to be in great condition. With 12 inch side boards the 19.6 yard dump bed CAN haul a load. I was looking at the tm that frank 8003 provided and was amazed at the size of the tri axle. Having not ever seeing one up close the picture with the Man by the tire, the bottom of the bed...
