    installing a batt. disconnect switch

I have mine wired that way with a keyed switch turning the relay on and off , thus disconnecting the batteries. That way I leave my light switch in the ON position and I never worry about turning them on and off. It's worked fine for several months so far.

What have you done to your HMMWV today/lately

That's Riley, my trusted copilot. It's impossible to start any of my trucks without him wanting to go for a ride.

What have you done to your HMMWV today/lately

I modified my regular tailpipe into a fording exhaust stack. Ordered a section of 3" pipe and an elbow. The bracket was already in place. I haven't totally decided on the heat guard; I may change it later.

    M1089AO with transmission issue.

I had an issue very similar to yours with my 1078. All was fine then one day it was stuck in 2nd gear. I too replaced a mangled speed sensor to no avail. And in the end the problem was my transmission fluid level was low . And the speed sensor wasn't even needed since the transmission works fine...

    Run flat question

I took my runflats out as did a friend of mine on his hmmwv. Neither of us used the PVC spacers nor has had the slightest problem after many miles. We both carry spares which have never been used. To each his own.

    Slant Back Roof Leaks

Yes, although I really don't have a need to. It's 1/16" thick neoprene and is very flexible.

    Slant Back Roof Leaks

I have probably 99. 5% of my leaks stopped on mine by replacing the hatch seal and adding this seal across the top.
