That's what I'm hoping... just a dumb loose wire or something like that. It's strange how it worked fine & then next time I started it, it didn't. Once I can pull the top off & look at everything, I will report back.
I was able to use in in 3 phase mode, adjust the voltage, & it's running good...
Voltage regulator & potentiometer all tested out okay. Fuse for the QUAD mod fuse is okay.
Found in 3 phase that the voltage is incorrect as well from L1.
The next stuff is testing things inside the generator alternator itself. I'm very intimidated by this... both because I fine the TM's...

So, I did a weekend trip to my off grid place this past weekend. Clocked a little over 14 hours straight on the generator. No problems. Hopefully the "no fuel" ghost went away! Not the longest stay but it's the longest it's run without the fault. Installed a 5,000 watt heater for the winter...
Will do. May be a few weeks before I go for an extended stay at my off grid place but it's going with me next time. Going to gun a 5,000 watt 220v heater to keep warm.
I bottomed it out & then lifted it about 1/16th inch. I thought the same as you, so when I went in to check everything this time, I raised it up just a bit more & made sure it was as far away from the bulkhead of the tank as possible. Crossing my fingers!
I have no idea. I'm hoping that I had some sort of lose connection. My last thought is that there's something in the tank that I left in there when I worked on it & I can't see it at this point. Will keep using it until the tank is empty & put a camera in there to be 100% sure. If the problem...
My 802A will just bog down instead over tripping at overload. If I run it over 100% it will overload somewhat randomly. My best guess is if it's way to much, the engine bogging down is your overload signal.
I've put two new ones & a had the old on in there! I cycled the float a bunch of times to make sure it wasn't crazy & it did what it was supposed to bot on the meter & at the panel.
So, I took the panel off & checked all the floats & switch for the No Fuel shutdown. All tested as they should. I checked to be sure the tank didn't have anything big moving around in it that could hit the float. The float is free. The connectors are all tight & I added the zip ties as suggested...
I will just remove the box & see if there are any issues inside of it. I like the idea of using small zip ties on the connectors as well.

No kit. I did need to machine down the plate that bolts to the engine itself. The bolts lined up fine, but the shaft was a bit to short to properly mate up with the taper in the generator head. It would work but under load it slipped on the shaft. If I remember, it was ~ 0.025 total removed...
I found the TM .pdf files I had to suck. Went on here & found the thread where you shared them & they're much better. The ones I had couldn't be searched & I think pages were missing. This is the reason why I ended up asking questions about stuff that's in there... because I couldn't find it!
