Yeah, the bodies are similar sizes, but the lift and hummer tires make it look so much bigger. Had no problems towing as long as I stayed under 55 mph.

If you've got a 5-ton truck, I don't believe you can go in the main gate, which conflicts with the requirement for a visitor pass if you don't have a military ID. I'd call base security and get the information from them, as their requirements seem to change every time I go there.
I used that method before I got a M925, but kept mashing my fingers against the bottom of the bed. I still use it when I don't have a winch on the truck, but now wear good gloves for padding.

If the truck was binding up when moving it, it may have been the parking brake, located on the rear of the transfer case that was dragging. The transfer case may be OK. Had it happen to me one time.
Make sure you have a copy of your paid invoice with you. GL doesn't always send a copy to the NG guys, and they have had to use mine to make a copy. Unless they are really busy, I've always found the NG folks to be really helpful.

If they did drain it, there is no guarantee that they put the plugs back in the fuel tank, crankcase and transmission. Another vote for having it shipped.
