But they also had a blurb somewhere about if a vehicle had previous registration it was also exempt too. I just remembered that the last vehicle I did in Kingman was older than 25 years but I went with normal plates and they never asked for it. Could've been luck of the draw though with the...
I'd do that if there was o e close enough, but I live out in the boonies so I don't have anything that is close to me at all. By close I mean anything within an hour and a half. I will have to do it myself if I want the truck to make it to civilization lol
The tires I have are just the 14s and they did rub. On flat ground with just a simple hill they don't, but how often are you really going to see a "simple hill" when you're off-roading?
Guess I'll have dig a little deeper and find out if I need that inspection. It'll be a real PITA since I have to go down there on the 1st. If I don't need it then I'll just run over to kingman instead and then go to Prescott.
Just for the record I really hate the auto****itup in phones and tablets these days. Just in the last couple posts of mine I've noticed where it changed whole words on me to the point where it almost doesn't make any sense.
Good thing I'm not putting all my weight into then, but if it is 500 ft/lbs then I know for sure that the ones I did today were way too loose. I guess tomorrow while I'm dealing with the tire I'll go ahead and count teach on the torque multiplier and then figure out how many turns it takes to...
I got the tire together today and put air in it, but it leaked around the o-ring. I didn't feel like fooling with it so I just pulled the 1/4" o-ring out a put in one of the 5/16" ones instead. No leaks then so I went to work swapping it with one of the rears tires. In all I changed two tires...
I had asked how much articulation there was before I got my truck. Once I got it home though I quickly tested it and with both rear axles going opposite directions there definitely was some tire rubbage on the bottom of my cargo bed. If I roll 16s like I want to then I would certainly put a 4x4...
Lol better share that popcorn! This whole project will go at a snails pace to what I'd like, but oh well. I will most like focus on the living area first, then the half track add-on. I know the B part will be an engineering challenge, so it's a good thing that is what I'm going to school for...
I was thinking the worm gear driven hand winch, with a pulley or two, could handle that. If I can squeeze the spare far enough forward to make me happy I will definitely do that. Of course I wouldn't want the weight of the tire to always be on the winch so I will have to figure out the bolt...
I know the tank is only 71-77 usable gallons, I just used that number so there was no doubt which tank I was referring to. Once I get the second fuel tank and the additional air tanks in I will re-evaluate my available space for the generators and tool boxes.
EDIT:also need to figure out where...
Ok, first off I'd like say... I really wish there was a separate category just for our camper builds since there are so many and I really don't know where it is supposed to go!! Ok, rant done lol
Now on to the meat and taters! My end goal for my 934A2 is to hold a 20' ISO shipping container on...
I love the idea of another toolbox since the one that is on the 934 just isn't big enough for everything I want to carry, but I would rather keep that space available for an addition 81g fuel tank instead. Additional air tanks are already in the works, I've got several old propane tanks laying...
And here I was thinking of just letting mine ride until I finished dealing with my tires. Doesn't look like that'll be an option now. I'd far rather get into it now and try to fix the problem before a catastrophic failure happens on mine since I live out in the boonies. BTW, love the look of the...
Besides 1943ht, is there anyone else still in the Prescott/Kingman/Flagstaff area? I pretty much live smack dab in the middle of all three...give or take 20 miles. I need to get my truck registered and since Kingman is closest I thought about going there to get it all done. 98G hooked me up with...
