Hey Mike, long time no hear. Yeah, they're the same old rubber that I had on back then, less another one that blew out on me on the way home. They're really looking rough now, more wrinkles & cracks than Joan Collins face, so now I'm working on a deal for 12 80-95% G177's. I've gotta do...
Simp:
The shipping cost sounds reasonable. The tire shop I've used before is:
Lone Star Tire
1701 E. Waco Dr.
Waco, TX 76704
and they've changed out tires for me before so there's not an issue with split rims. Let me check with them in the next day or two and see if they'll bo OK doing the...
Thanks for the info Simp. What's a guesstimate on the freight cost for shipping 11 of your 11r20's to Waco, TX? Any idea and they'd be a simple swap by an experienced tire shop, right?
I want to swap the existing NDT's on my M109A3/M185A3 to a more readily available military tire with the least amount of hassle. What's the simplest, easiest tire swap without having to resort to adaptor plates, duals to singles, etc.
Thanks...

Thanks for the info Studly. Are the Stryker tires readily available and can they be installed as dualies on the Deuce's rear axles or are they installed as singles?
Hey 98G long time no talk. Who sells the adapter plates and would 14.00x20 tires on 5 ton wheels work without the adapter plates and a whole lot of screwing around to get them on. I'm essentially looking for "plug & play" if such a thing exists in a FMV tire/wheel swap. THANKS...

I've finally gotten tired of scrounging for decent 9.00x20 NDT tires for my M185A3 and want to switch over to something that's more readily available. What's the easiest, most readily available current military wheel/tire setup to go with? I don't really care about keeping the dual tires on...
The fuel gauge on my AM General M934A0/1 has always read a little off, so today when it was reading just a tick above empty I added 20 gallons of fuel. That 20 gallons took the fuel level to the top of the tank and the gauge was reading a little over 1/4 full.
So, who's the culprit, the gauge...
Replaced the windshields & seals with NOS parts on my M185A5 and I'm thinking about replacing my vacuum wipers with a set of electrics.
After that is the side glass. I have NOS glass and frames for the sides but need all the other stuff, i.e. channels, felts, seals, etc. Does anybody know of a...
The ABS dash warning light on my AM General M934/A0/1 has started burning constantly. Previously it worked as it was supposed to during dry, hot weather, extinguishing after the start up check, and then intermittently during cold, wet weather, sometimes extinguishing after startup and sometimes...
The 2018 TX MV Rally is being held on the Living History Weekend put on by the Museum of the American GI: http://americangimuseum.org/events/living-history-weekend/. The weather has cooperated beautifully the last couple of years, so I'm keeping my fingers crossed for a 3-fer this year. Big...
