Found a site that has the full cat service manuals (disassemble and rebuild manual, troubleshooting, etc) for our engines. Very cheap price for digital copies, 20 bucks. They also have Detroit and a few other types.

What part of AZ? Used to be stationed at Fort Huachuca...I miss playing in the washes......there was a great one by Benson along the riverbed.

If fording water or driving through mud, turn off the fan BEFORE hitting the water. Set your tires for cross country mode, your spine will thank you. Grease the cab support pins and latch, your ears will thank you. Grease every joint before going and when completed to drive out any water/sand...
Ok so an update.
Now the gauge is steady no matter what I do. Lights on/off, high beam on/off, CB intercom and camera on/off...I have not done the regulation wire trick yet, it just fixed itself.
I blame aliens. Or a loose ground somewhere. There goes my weekend...

So finished up installing my new backup camera today. Works great, I can now see the confused drivers behind me.
Problem I've been having (and it's been beating my best troubleshooting methods) is the electrical gauge bounces between 20 and 26 volts while idle and there's nasty...
The manuals I have are NOT for the cab but the launcher itself. Sorry, they would not help at all. Now if you had the launcher itself....
Rest of the cab connections should be standard FMTV stuff. Basic truck is the same, just has special frufru crap in the bed. Check the TM

The shock only sees the damping forces, the weight of the vehicle is not supported by the shocks, the leaf springs hold the weight normally. There are no side loads with the way our trucks are setup
