Just purchased a M1123 on Gov Planet - Reno NV area

Congrats! Get yourself a CDR valve ordered now. They get removed during the demil process.

What have you done to your HMMWV today/lately

I replaced the burned out headlight yesterday. It's no longer a cyclops at night.

    Hello from North Texas

    Welcome!

    SF 97 Status

Check the Items Won page on GovPlanet. If it says Call Titles Department, they may need to clear up something before issuing the SF97. My truck didn't list a year in the sale and they needed me to complete an additional form before the SF97 was processed.

    Turbo 6.5 Engine Ground Location

Does anyone know where the engine ground is on turbo 6.5's? I'm at work and have been pouring over the TM's with no luck. When I remove the doghouse, all I see is turbo stuff.

    M1152A1 Wiring

Should be a supplemental ballistic windshield defroster/heater. I still have the switch on my truck, but no windshield unfortunately.

    REV overheating - normal?

Not sure if your truck is similar to mine or not but you can really hear when the radiator fan kicks on. It's like the truck has a second engine. lol Do you know if the fan is turning on when the engine gets hot?

    How costly will this be?

Looks like you need serpentine belt as well so the alternator won't be generating power anyways.

    Runaway kill switch

I kept a piece of plywood under the passenger seat that was just big enough to block air intake behind the mushroom cap. If my engine ever would have run away, pretty sure I would have had that crazy "mama's baby trapped under a car" strength and ripped the mushroom cap off, then used the...

Caution about Iron Planet/Gov Planet HMMWV's

I thought M35A2's were being phased out 13-14 years ago. I bought one back then for dirt cheap. They still pop up in auctions to this day so I guess not?

    New-Old Stock HMMWV?

GP offers financing from somewhere. I wouldn't be surprised if these are repo's.

    Mileage On Humvees

Got to trust the odometer. These trucks aren't equipped with a hubometer from the factory. I'm assuming he's asking because GP states the odometer may not be accurate.

What to do with old Armasafe batteries?

I traded mine as cores for Wally World replacements.

    Aux fuel switch issues

HMMWV's have auxiliary tanks? If it was an old Ford F150, I'd say check the fuel pump relay for the switch, then check the bad pump directly. It was always one or the other of these things.

OHIO BMV Changed my Street Legal Title from Virginia to Off Road USE only

I'm jealous you have an on road title for Florida. I've been very leery of even trying to get a title for mine in this state. When I originally bought it in Dec '23, I specifically called and discussed obtaining a title as the checkout on GP would not allow it. She straight up told me GP has an...

1st Post, Almost 8 Years to the Day

Don't trust the M35 fuel gauge. They tend to fail. Mine failed and was happily sitting at 1/2 tank while I was stranded on the side of the road.

    Storage charges from the yard

Somewhat off topic but I hate Veritread bidders that don't bother reading the post before bidding. For example, my truck was listed as not running and having a flat tire. So many bids stated offer was good if truck was running and moving. And no, I don't have an unloading ramp. In this case...

    Fuel gauge help

He didn't swap the ground wire. In your diagram, he swapped the red wire with the blue wire.

    Battery Box area

My M1114 is the same way. The seat pretty much covers it, but I wouldn't want to drop anything metal down there. I think it's just the way they are built. I've done some research and found the M1113/M1114 have a different seat base/battery cover than all the other variants. May just be something...
